  1. Dh and I stayed at a hotel this weekend. Check in/out was social distanced. Signs at the elevator asked you only two people on at a time- only one time was the ignored by a group of 3 ladies getting in the elevator dh and I were already in. (I’m sure if we said anything, they would have gotten off) - everyone was masked. The door to our room had a cleaning sticker on it that we had to break to get into our room showing us that no one had entered after it was cleaned. There were individual wipes in the room so we could wipe anything we wanted. The remote was in a plastic bag - something that I hope stays. On the mirror, there was a sticker explaining the disinfectant process of the bathroom. Everyone was masked in the common areas.
  2. I much prefer a paper schedule, but I have been using my phone calendar and setting reminders. It’s the last minute changes that are hard to keep up with for me. AND, I have no idea how to use Siri even though this is my second phone with it. I know how to use it in the car, but not without the steering wheel button.
  3. That might be the issue - not having anything out of the house for a bit, I got out of practice. I was really good managing 4 kids and multiple teams - generally 2 per kid - school team plus club, but now that I’m down to one kid - it’s harder! It was probably the Covid break that got me out of sync.
  4. And dh went to the wrong place to pick her up, twice the distance. So, I had to run out and pick her up in the car with no gas (because in addition to cooking and cleaning, I’m the only one who knows how to put gas in the car, the car wasn’t my car that was out of gas and the light came on as soon as I got in it). Then, dh was blaming me for mismanaging the times. At least I knew which team she was practicing with tonight! I had no idea that I’d be out of the house today. I’m wearing a very pretty pink 20 year old jogging suit that dd was not at all happy to see me wearing to pick her up in, plus my face/hair was not made up to leave the house. Had to meet the varsity coach for the first time looking like a mess and had to stop for a gas at the very crowded gas station.
  5. Dd has practice 3x a week - 2 different places, three different start and ending times. Plus, they sometimes have to come early, stay late, or both. I just can’t keep it straight! Dd is the last being picked up tonight. I “thought” the end time was changed to later permanently, but apparently that was a one time change. As I get older, changes to the routine are harder to remember- especially when I don’t have a chance to add the change to my calendar.
  6. I’m not a member and I watched the introduction. I didn’t try watching the full episode.
  7. ETA: it is historical, not about now, so maybe it is what you are looking for
  8. This is a recent one, so probably not what you are looking for. https://www.wqed.org/ride?fbclid=IwAR3rb89PzecfNnw4U-KzQTH7kzWKTkmrua5Lmtj_IA2UxL_e7M0hqW8s-xU
  9. My dad and his wife didn't come to my daughter's wedding which was just the bride's and groom's families plus grandparents, pastor, and organist. He said his dr said it was too risky. Too risky for him to catch covid even driving and staying in the parking lot in his car so he could see her in her wedding dress (which is what other people did that couldn't come in to the service). Yet, it's not risky for him to go to art classes, other people's homes, stores, and restaurants, etc. Oh, it was also too risky to even call us to ask how it went. You know those covid germs are small enough to pass through the phone waves.
  10. In my area, I don't know of any agents who strictly are buying or listing agents - they do both. Depending on the state, you probably need to sign some sort of contract so that the real estate agent is representing you, as the buyer. For example, in Maryland when there is no signed Buyer Agency Contract, the real estate agent automatically represents the seller. Once you have signed a contract though, the agent represents the buyer. You can also decline to participate in a dual agent scenario - when the listing agent is also the buying agent, to make sure that your interests are fully presented. To find an agent, I would ask local friends/facebook group who they recommend. Once you have some recommendations, you can interview a couple.
  11. I have a friend who sends her kids to K at the local b&m school so she doesn't have to teach reading! She enjoys teaching her kids the rest of the way after someone else has taught them how to read.
  12. I’m just reading your other post!
  13. Congrats to you! What backpack do you have? I want to get an Osprey water bladder one. Homemade Wonderlust videos on YouTube answer a lot of hiking questions, including the poo one.
  14. I used my first batch of tomatoes and jalapeños in chicken enchiladas.
  15. This is the one I’m buying myself: https://www.nutrimill.com/nutrimill-artiste/ It’s like a smaller version of the Bosch. I loved my Kitchen Aid, but I gave it to my dd because it was getting heavy for me.
  16. We have been considering buying kayaks for over a year now. Dh’s car was bought in mind to transport them and bikes. This is the one that I’m eyeing: https://www.wildernesssystems.com/us/kayaks/pungo-125 We have a kayak club an hour away. It’s an annual fee for a lesson and then you have access to kayaks and supplies at 10 different docks for the season. I told dh we should do this for one year to make sure we enjoy it enough to make the investment in kayaks and all the equipment that goes with them.
  17. http://mindsinfocus.net Her link is above incase anyone else needs it
  18. @Rivka Tagging her name so I can find her profile. Can’t figure out how to get to it otherwise.
  19. Great job! Very inspiring.
  20. Anyone remember one of our own members who is now an educational consultant in the Baltimore area?
