Anyone have experience with marriage counseling?
school17777 replied to Drama Llama's topic in The Chat Board
A friend of ours went to marriage counseling and the main thing that stuck out to him was the therapist’s recommendation to read “The Five Love Languages” and to learn your spouses love language. He had all of us take the quiz so we’d know our spouses language. He wished he had known about that book years ago. -

Dh and I have met with our pastor every once in awhile. I’d expect your therapist will ask why you are there and will go from there. -

If there is communication issues in a marriage, I think most people can benefit from having a neutral 3rd party person help them communicate better. -
Thank goodness for sure! For new construction, I don’t know what the benefit would be to use an agent unless they would be with you during the whole process and helping you make selections.

Did you sign a buyers agency contract when you put your offer in? If so, you will need to get out of that before another agent will with you.

I use a flat one and a glove one - both have silicone on the outside.

My Christmas gifts came yesterday. And then I find out I need to order for supplies (over $250) to use my kit (a rug hooking kit). Dh ordered from the mobile site which did not say that the wool would not be cut (due to overwhelming amount of orders and time it takes to cut). If you ordered from the full site page and read the intro page about the kits, it was mentioned there, but not at all in the mobile site. Plus, dh would not have known what all that meant. So, I’m ordering a cutting system unexpectedly. Can’t use the kit until I have it.

I've missed you! Glad you are back. Sounds like you have had a lot going on while you were gone.

JAWM: BIG WHINE AHEAD Stressed Out in Re: return to school/hybrid
school17777 replied to Ginevra's topic in The Chat Board
Just for encouragement sake, our school has been hybrid this whole school year. There have been no Covid contact cases traced back to school. There have been students/facility who are positive, but it's not spreading in school. Your set-up sounds like our set-up. Anyway, my middle school dd and her friends actually like this set-up and prefer it over going full-time (I think mainly because they now have to get up so early on school days as compared to elementary school days). Hope you and your dh can get on the same page about this. -
Most of youngest dd gifts were missed. Her big present was ear pods which she asked for in November and I bought then, but apparently, they did not make her list closer to Christmas. She gave away a lot of her other gifts to her sisters and when they were so excited for them, then she wanted them back (mauve leggings, round brush, Norwex face cloth, chocolate bar, etc). It’s hard when they grow out of the toy stage and just want expensive items. Hits were an air fryer for middle daughter. Oldest wished she had asked for one too - guess it will be her bday gift in 2 weeks. Middle’s boyfriend’s picture of Beaver Stadium was a hit and sil’s purple seat cushion was too.

This year, I put the presents out as I wrapped them. Stocking stuff will have to wait until the morning because this Santa is wiped out from baking & cooking all day. The other Santa wasn’t much help.

Just ordered 2 sets (one for a gift). I’ve been looking for rollers. Mine are over 30 years old and not all heat up.
