  1. If shipping method is that important to you, you should ask how things will be shipped before buying.... Sorry your package is stuck. That would be pretty frustrating.
  2. "And he says his opinion is the only one that counts and he thinks I am perfect. " That is a pretty special man you have there. The fact that he was on your side, and loving you no matter the shape is so awesome. :-) FWIW... I got the "Are you pregnant ?" from a lady at church a couple weeks ago. I am currently overweight, so I just laughingly responded with nope! Just fat..... :-D
  3. http://www.diyplanner.com/templates/index This one?
  4. I used to only have 2-3, but now whenever breakoutbras has a grab bag in my size i try to buy at least 2 sets of 3bra grab bags. (my size isn't at walmart, VS, or the factory stores at the outlet mall) :-( For the first time in my life, I feel like I have enough for now. :-D
  5. FWIW, most people wouldn't have had any idea that they were sparking. Backfiring isn't always with sparks, etc, and most motor homes have pretty limited visibility. Flag em down & let them know, or have your kids hold up a sign or something next time.
  6. Call and bu the dr till you get a referral to a ped otho. DS has bilateral clubfeet ... work things like this early for best results.
  7. On the plus side if you do it yourself, you can do a massive declutter and dejunkify at the same time... that part I like. :D
  8. I agree.... craigslist or free cycle.... We bought a real slate top one and we moved it ourselves, it wasn't that bad, but you have to take it apart & reassemble at the new home. Obviously with heavy slate slabs you need two strongish people to help. :)
  9. Since you are looking for an inexpensive option, you might try Craigslist, but check availability of ink refills & cost before buying. Mine is a fancy printer, canon pixima mp560. I wanted: duplex printer (front & back) Individual ink tanks wireless copy/scan function Love it!
  10. Look for a printer that has cheap refills on amazon. I think the elcheapo version that I use are around $4 max a refill. and they usually work, I;ve had maybe 2 total cartridges that didn't work, and I've used over 20 refills so far.
  11. :iagree: when in doubt, call & treat accordingly. It is better to be safe than sorry.
  12. I got annoyed with all this kind of stuff and put a wall of hooks up in the hallway, and now the following have a home. 3. Purse 1. Camera 7. Items that need to be returned to stores but you can't get around to immediately 6. Library books ( i have both outbound and incoming books bag) diaper bag piano bag laptop bag knitting bag mini diaperbag Here;s what happens with the rest: 4. Incoming mail that you don't have time to open just yet on the tbale toss & sort as it come in. 5. Your dh's wallet - In his pocket, or on the counter overnight 2. Video camera (shelf in closet) If we used it more it would be in hook hallway 9. Completed homeschool stuff (workbooks, etc.) I have a rubbermaid tote ( 2x the size of a shoebox that I put a whole years worth of papers in for BOTH kids at the end of the year. I TOSS most of the workbooks, but will put samples for the year in the tub. I only let myself use 1 tub per school year. 2. Flashlights these live in a couple places, 1 with the camping stuff, 1 in a drawer in the kitchen for ER and 1 in the basement with the tools. 8. Outdoor toys LARGE tote in DS room for most of (mainly nerf/lightsabers etc) and a smaller lidded tote on shelving in the basement with the baseball mitts & balls. 10.Game system accessories (dance mat, wii balance board, rock band drums, etc. (in a large tote next to the system for most things, but rock-band drums are hard, Hubby stuck mine in the attic, and the cords were fried less than 6months later... :-( If I was rich I would buy the storage things for them like this.... My affinity for hooks might sound funny, but we live in a 1920's house with no hall closets, and miniscule shared bedroom closets. :-P
  13. Yup! Big League was my brother's obsession. :-D You can still get pixie sticks & fun dip sometimes...Every time I se the giant pixie sticks I buy them. :D
  14. Spelling words Shopping lists scribbling (3 year old) math problems rough drafts notes
  15. I miss grape bubble yum.... :-( yes, I know it didn't taste like real grapes, but the flavor was always one of my favorites.
  16. Other ways to deal with the noise might be headphones (the noise muffling kind) or a noisy fan. Ear protection headphones: http://www.amazon.com/3M-Peltor-Optime-H10A-Earmuff/dp/B00009LI4K/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1338996416&sr=8-11 DS2 can be a bit whiny in the middle of the night, so DS1 wears these frequently. You could slowly transition with sleepovers for both in the new room every couple days for a while, and then decrease the frequency of the joint nights... Maybe keep them every other weekend?
  17. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002BA5F70/ref=wms_ohs_product Our favorites... almost everything fitsn them.
  18. Another option that is somewhere between actual scrap-booking and just boxes is the Project Life stuff on amazon. It is really fast to just put the pics & paper in the pockets & be done, but still pretty and with space for any notes you want to include. http://www.beckyhiggins.com/blog/tag/project-life/
  19. http://floorplanner.com/ free basic version, and you can scale almost any item to your dimensions. :D Here's a sample result:
  20. OK, I am ruthless with decluttering, especially other people's stuff. Usually, my motto is "When in doubt, throw it out. " (or donate) HOWEVER......De cluttering can only go so far toward bringing peace. Some things will bring you less peace if you toss them. I only deeply regret tossing one thing, my baby blanket that my grandmother hand made for me. She died when I was less than 10. I say keep the pictures, but don't keep more. Eventually, I would try to get them into albums.
  21. I do buy name brands of pencils... after the plastic coated ones from the $1 store got stuck in the sharpener. Then a whole bunch of plain ones (also $1 store) had off center lead. I now pay to get nice ones, or just use mechanical pencils. You can't sharpen an off center lead. :-P I use scotch adhesive 3m( scrapbook kind) only for school. We do some lapbooking. Crayola Color Markers, I want to know that the "washable" will actually wash out. Backpacks are an area I plan to invest a bit more in next year, or just get doubles. I am tired of them dying mid year. ( we coop 1x a week) Crayons and color pencils. I like things that work well, so I get crayola crayons, and I saved up & got prismacolor pencils.
  22. Loved it here too.... But our nice computer died, and our borrowed one can't run it. :-P
  23. when I make a blanket, I need to either count to be sure the rows have the same number, or add an extra chain up to the next row. If you don't it will curve in/up on the sides
  24. :iagree: Sooo... I used to work for a local vendor who had reps doing homeschool fairs/shows. We usually used ?UPS? overnight/document envelopes to get the checks & invoices back from the conference. We had one envelope (one whole curriculum fair's sales) get shredded by the mail sorting machine, and even though it was insured, they didn't cover any sort of checks. We lost a fair amount of money on that show. The only payment we ended up getting was from the lovely folks who called to ask why their check hadn't been cashed, and then sent new checks. I would call. :-)
