  1. Or maybe even animal control or a local vet, and ask them what to do?
  2. First of all, don't wash them. My girls swim competitively, and their suits might get thrown in the wash once or twice a year. Rinse in cold water, and hang them up. Go to swim outlet dot com and get her some competition suits. They cost a bit more, but they last. Dolphin Uglies have held up well for practice too, and you can usually find some good deals on those.
  3. Just wanted to add that he should also make sure they check his vitamin d levels. I have a family member w/ severe depression, and d levels were found to be extremely low. 50k Iu of d twice a week helped tremendously. Said person also just got diagnosed w/ hashimotos.
  4. Not all vets feel that way, though. This isn't her normal vet. And if the cat is still happy, why isn't treating the pain enough right now?
  5. Agree w/ the palliative care. I currently have a cat that cannot walk at all. She's otherwise happy, eating, purring, etc. I carry her to the litterbox several times a day, bring her food to her, give her water w/ a syringe (she won't drink enough otherwise), take her outside and sit w/ her a couple of times a day. When I pick her up she leans her head on my chest and the purr machine goes into overdrive. She has neurological issues and could get around very, very slowly until a week ago, when they steroids seem to stop working. She's happy, and in no pain. Her vet has never pushed to have her put down. If she were in pain, or when she stops eating or is in any kind of distress, we might rethink things. But right now, she's happy. And very spoiled!
  6. Has Hans Solo ever watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? I now have the words "Truly scrumptious" running through my head. :D Yepi, this is a server issue. I wouldn't complain, but maybe in the moment, might have let the waitress know of the dangers of putting a plate of hot food that close to a toddler, when mom wasn't able to pay attention.
  7. :001_wub: But wow, That was a lot of work!
  8. This. Sounds like someone around her is a carrier. May even be a friend. We had this same problem when mine were younger. Turns out my other one was a carrier, and when they got it again after my dd being treated, found out one of their best friends was a carrier. Once she got treated, they didn't get it again for about 7 years. Oh, and I noticed if they ate yogurt at least twice a week, they were less likely to get sick.
  9. As in chia seeds? Not chai tea, correct? Wouldn't that make it kind of slimy, or I dunno, chewy?
  10. That would be a really bad idea imho. I think it's a violation of privacy and it would cause people to look for that person's posts, and result in them being reported more often. nm on NWAF's post
  11. l had some that looked a bit foamy on top. I just stirred it up and kept using it. Wasn't a problem.
  12. The editions I used were $30, and had the student/teacher stuff all in one book, including overheads. Of course, that was 7-9 years ago.
  13. I use the dryer, and still miss the lint trap on top of the agitator. My clothes aren't as clean. I guess i need to go stock up on an extra washer.. I can't stand the HE top or front loaders. Blech! eta: mine was a GE.. it lasted forever! I had it almost 15 years and got it used.
  14. That's cool! It's nice to see smaller schools starting swim teams. Sounds like it's going to be a great team, too!
  15. There are a few who did as Sparkly, and left completely. There are some that left, and haven't decided if they'll be back ever yet, and quite a few who are posting less, as the feeling of security and community is gone. Kind of like having someone you trust and are completely at home with, stab you in the back. You might still see them, but the trust is gone, making it very uncomfortable. And the majority were fairly active, but as Mommymilkies said, maybe not on every board.
  16. Yep, get a microwave. You can get a small one for under 30. I'd make room, even if it was in the living room.
  17. That barely qualifies as a skull. I bet most people wouldn't even notice it. Really cute!
  18. I had at least two, possibly three deleted.
  19. Nope, because that would result in deleted posts and most likely members being banned.
  20. No. But if he has paid his dues which are $24, then he is in good standing. Requirements for rank are not arbitrary. You can refuse to pay for the badge itself, and leave it up to them to buy it from the scout shop themselves, but you can't w/hold the rank if he has completed the requirements as laid out by BSA. Our pack/troop never did popcorn. We sold greenery, had rummage sales, bbq plates, etc. Some people take issue w/ certain fundraisers, especially when the money doesn't all go to the troop. I have found that an itemized list of cost per boy, given to parents, helps them understand just how much it costs to run the program.
  21. Rank advancement has nothing to do w/ fundraising, and withholding a rank based on such is NOT BS policy. Frankly, your troop should be reported to council.. You can require them to pay for the badges themselves, but you can't w/hold the rank.
  22. Has her thyroid been tested? Thyroid issues can cause constipation. I would also use the food journal, and consider allergy testing.
