  4. I think CC would be great. There is great discussion plus there ate math games that help prepare them for Algebra. :-)

  14. for what its worth, I am a Foundations Director and CC accepts all families as long as those families realize we are a Christian community. That means there is not an issue with someone being secular as long as changes are not expected to be made to accomodate non-Christians. I hope you do check it out, we have an amazing campus and my children love it. I was so glad we started it! :001_smile: :001_smile:

  16. Thank You, I will check out those forums. The person I spoke to told me I would have to start in Kindergarten which I could but that seems silly as her writing is excellent and she is good at math. :confused1:
  17. Hi, My oldest dd is going to be 7 and isn't fluently reading yet. I am considering Memoria Press, but when I spoke to them they said the first and second grade curriculum is based on the child reading for themselves. I would think I can read to them? I know with Sonlight I can. Does anybody use Memoria Press curriculum and can comment? Thank you, Lynn

  20. I am confused on why the recommendation for Latin is for 3rd grade and above? Is it because it can confuse children with vowels etc.? Not that I want to push my children too hard but I thought languages should be taught early especially if they help teach the understanding of languages . Am I completely off base? Help me understand! Thank you! Lynn. DD ages 6,4 and 2.5
