  1. :iagree: With what everyone here has said. :grouphug::grouphug: I hope you and your sweet girl get the rest that you both need. I pray that her caregivers will be inspired as to what her needs are.
  2. Thanks for the replies. I have been wondering the same thing also. :)
  3. I'm scared to admit this lol! We are using Evan-Moor's Beginning Geography (K-2). I know my dd is older and these are worksheets, but I figure it is better than nothing. Plus, it is an e-book so I was able to start using it immediately. Edited to add: I re-read your post and this wouldn't fit the bill. Good luck finding a solution.
  4. :cheers2::biggrinjester: Have fun and be safe!
  5. I believe they have a fundraiser at the end of every year. Out of curiosity I checked the stats just now. Total donations: 695k Goal: 1.5mil Left: 805k
  6. I can't tell you how many times my sister has tried to get this across to me. I think I finally get it. Thanks.
  7. Some great perspectives have been shared! I have grandchildren who come to visit and I happen to know that it completely blows our school day when they show up. We babysat them recently and we spent more time trying to keep the infant safe and content than the 4yo and 2yo. I think men expect infants to lie around cooing and looking cute all the time ;). Babies are work. They don't sleep all the time. They are mobile at 5 months and will constantly have to watched unless they are napping. Personally for me, the money isn't worth it.
  8. Wow, Faith! I am so glad your husband is healing well. That had to be extremely scary. :grouphug:
  9. The older I am the more important it is becoming. Facebook has been a wonderful way to reconnect with some of my cousins. Most of them are older than me so I didn't know them well growing up. My mother-in-law is big into the whole "know your cousins" thing and I'll admit that sometimes I get sick of feeling obligated to attend family reunions and get togethers. Tomorrow night is an example. I don't like getting out on the highway with all the drunk drivers but there will be hurt feelings if I don't drag my kids to their house to "play" with the cousins for New Year's Eve. Lol! I seem to have mixed feelings about this. ;)
  10. Thanks for the reminder. I donated! I use Wikipedia often with the knowledge that it isn't perfect. I'm not doing research. It's more a case of curiosity. Ya know, rabbit trails. :)
