  1. Congratulations!! So beautiful!!!
  2. Our dds are athletes, so they also had to start with tampons. I think theirs were Kotex slender - active - lite? Something a long those lines. They also had to start with KY jelly to help for the first few months.
  3. I use the regular knives that came with our silverware set for butter. I've never seen special knives for butter at any brunches/showers that I've attended.
  4. This is what I was going to say. My dd had it. We thought it was bursitis, but it wasn't. She saw a chiropractor, but I am pretty sure she would have gotten the same results by doing exercises found on youtube.
  5. We cut nitrates out of her diet. Lavender oil on her temples at night. Added some sort of exercise during her day.
  6. Sounds like she likes her school - that's a great feeling. Then she'll be excited to head back in August, instead of dreading it ;) I hate sending them back after I've had them home during the summer. I don't show it, but it's true.
  7. I'm still not sure what to think about it. I am watching it with my 18yo dd - we are on episode 6 (I think). I think it has the potential for both good and bad. I hope it opens kids' eyes to how their behavior could affect others, ALTHOUGH in my experience bullies rarely take ownership of their behavior or see the consequences of it. I hope that it doesn't give kids who might be suicidal the idea that others will obsess about them and their (possible) death for a long time and suffer because of it. I do feel like the show might glorify suicide in that way. I do hope that the one outcome of the show's popularity is to bring mental illness/depression/suicidal behaviors to light and open more conversation about it.
  8. You can do a postcard style card from TinyPrints or Shutterfly. With coupon codes that you can stack, they are very reasonable!
  9. Classes taught at our co-op are put on our transcript and I am still considered the 'teacher'. The only classes that I get a separate transcript for is dual enrolled classes from our local college. I still put those DE classes on our transcript, but we also receive an official transcript from the college as well. For our homeschool, I grade A, B, C..... no + or _'s. So, if a teacher gives a B+ grade, I list it on our transcript as a B and an A- would be an A.
  10. Just read this thread - I am so sorry for all you are going through. You may need to make decisions before you cool down as much as you'd like to. Remember, you and your children come first. :grouphug:
  11. Sorry, but $20 for 6 hours for an infant is an insult and, in my opinion, completely taking advantage of your daughter.
  12. I hate how much money the NCAA takes in....hate it for so many different reasons. But, we did jump through their hoops and now have a DII college athlete. I would say to submit the current transcript because it includes those 9th grade classes/grades. If they want to see the other, they will ask.
  13. We did 'the great purge' in the last few weeks too. It was nice to get $50 from a sale & turn around and spend $50 on groceries. Feels productive, cleansing, and frugal :)
  14. Lots of great news! I hope results come back as NOT Lyme!!!
  15. I don't think so, but I truly never realized it was enforced. I do it, not obstructing traffic, but I certainly don't always cross at a crosswalk.
  16. When I was little I think I remember hearing the term 'jaywalking' - we would do it because it was something that could make us feel rebellious, but we weren't really. Now, with the case in the news of the guy getting beat up & arrested for doing it....I know there is more to it, but the confrontation started with jaywalking. Did you know that it was really a thing to be arrested for?
  17. Speck cases are our favorite - they're the only ones we use.
  18. Ouch. So, you punish the person who was handed the questions by the secretary??
  19. Club soda with a lemon wedge. I order it at restaurants & it's free 99% of the time. The fizz curbs that soda craving.
