  1. Consider looking at mini luek via google.de. We bought the control board and several easy books after an Austrain montesori teacher recomended them to us. She uses them to teach Turkish students German. Good -luck!
  2. We love KONOS and have been using it for years. My daughter loved the Civil War unit study. Other favorites were the Human Body, African and Australian studies. We do an eclectic mix but whenever I survey the kids regarding their favorite studies from the previous year it the answer always comes back to one of the Konos unit studies. The actions and projects stay in the memory!
  3. I would get "blue" when my kids were that young, too. Now that they are middlle schoolers we are much more active and know many local families. Time is your best friend. Enjoy the time now with little ones who want you to be their best friend and over time all of of you will meet others.
  4. Several families I know are considering shifting there middle schoolers by one year back inorder to have more mature children with the possiblity of higher test scores and /or just being able to make better choices + having them home an extra year. Has anyone tried this with their middle schooler? If yes, did your child receive it well or how did you convey your objectives to best equip your child to answer and handle meddling questions? What are your thoughts on pros vs. cons? We are seriously contemplating and we want to be prepared for the back lash family and friends might provide. Our two children started kindergaten early so they'd still be a8 upon graduation and we'd benefit from having them home an extra year. Our kids are bright and we feel we must be carful to project the intentions in a positive light - we will be going deeper into subject matters, etc.
