  1. In my first post I asked if Easy Grammar 6 would contain enough composition. Somebody responded that it contains some writing but not enough and I would need to supplement. We have been using Language of God. So...my 2nd questions is: What do you use for composition along with Easy Grammar? Thanks
  2. Check out Time4writing.com A little pricey, $99 for an 8 wk course but it is all done on the computer with a certified teacher doing the feedback and grading.
  3. What composition program can you mix with Easy Grammar?
  4. Does Easy Grammar 6 include composition or is it only grammar? We are considering switching from Language of God to Easy Grammar 6. However, the Language of God specifically says grammar/composition. Anybody know? Thanks! :)
  5. :bigear: :bigear: I work from home & homeschool 3 kids and I constantly hear myself saying "Hurry up guys, I don't have all day, I need to get some office work done!" I feel your pain..... Somebody on one of the forums, who works from home, will have her kids do time4learning during her busy season. I tried that but my kids are not that into time4learning, only sometimes. My 12 yo dd is works slowly, so frustrating. I wish I didn't have to work but we need to eat. Someone else had suggested doing some solid math then letting them read good books and journal the rest of the time...I'm very tempted to try this and using Singapore Math.
  6. :thumbup1:Ok...colored markers & pencils it is! Thank you sooo much...I love this support forum.
  7. I downloaded Math Mammoth 1st grade book and while it is mostly black and white, there are parts such as grouping, dots, lines, boxes, etc that are colored. I do not have a color printer, only black/white. How important is it to have the color? Thanks
  8. OH NO!!! DUH!! :blush5: Thanks lol...I was saying out loud the title of every math curriculum trying to find "tm"
  9. Thank you so much for all the answers....I was about to go enroll her at the public school down the street....just kidding ....kinda....lol
  10. I'm new to homeschooling, my 11 y/o uses TT, my 7 yr old uses MUS, but I'm having a lot of problem with MCP Math for the 6yr old (MUS for did not work) I also work full- time out of my home. Her learning style is textbook style but I AM the one having the problem. I can't seem to "come down" to her level & explain the concept for her to understand. I need a teacher's manual that will show me in quotes exactly what to say to her. Or an online program would be great...or combining textbook with an easy to use online program.... Help.:w00t::001_unsure::ack2::eek::ohmy::crying:
  11. Thanks for your reply :) Which Balt Catechism do u use? My 11yr old used Balt Catechism 2 and I have to admit that it is above her head sometimes, I don't think my 7 and 6yr old would understand. :)
  12. New to homeschooling, started our 3rd wk.. pretty happy with the overall success (some days better than others, as expected). I need to teach Cathechism to my 3 kids (ages 11, 7, and 6) at the same time. My 11 yr old uses Seton, the others use CHC Faith & Life Series (which I do not like). Anybody know of any other curriculum that will facilitate this with books and lesson plans? (Modg, Kolbe, etc?). Thanks for reading :)
  13. If you could only teach 3 subjects...what would they be? I think I would do Reading, Writing, Arithmetic. I'm thinking if you did enough reading from varied sources it would cover language arts and spelling and vocabulary, etc. How about you?
  14. We are newbies to homeschooling, ages 11 7 and 6. My oldest is enrolled in Seton & will start next month. I'm very interested in the Catholic Virtual School K12 (CSK12) based in Florida, I've checked out their website & curriculum and tuition. I know there's other virtual schools (Ga, Connections, etc) but does anybody have any experience with this particular school? Thanks all, have a blessed day. :)
