  1. Paula's Archives has a whole section for SOTW including schedules that have some printable notebooking/workbook type pages.
  2. The Happy Herbivore Everday Happy Herbivore http://happyherbivore.com/ These are the 2 cookbooks that I have heard good things about. I have used some of the recipes from her blog and we liked them. We're not Vegan or Vegetarian but I am trying to use some recipes weekly for various reasons.
  3. oh- I didn't notice that either. Sorry.
  4. It comes with an eye hook. We plan on using fishing line.
  5. yes, I just added the Amazon link but it looks the same.
  6. We bought one of those "kits" from Hobby Lobby. It came with just the foam balls, dowels to connect the solar system around the sun, and a hook to hang it in their room. It was around $8-10. We used our own acrylic paints and brushes. My boys worked on it together, they were 9 and 11 when we did it this past Spring. They both found it to be enjoyable because they tried to make the planets as realistic as possible from what we had learned. They both enjoyed it overall. Now, if we could just get it off the top of the computer armoire and hung in their room, it would be even better. Our kit was this one but from Hobby Lobby.
  7. The sale ends the 18th, I think. I ordered: Sandwich Bag Science Coffee Can Science Soda Bottle Science Ready-To-Go Super Book of Outline Maps Poetry Projects with Pizzazz

  9. We participated in a Lego Club in a mom's home this year. We met once a month. To join, we had to contribute one sandwich sized ziploc bag of Legos, knowing that at the end of the year we would get a ziploc bag of Legos back but not our own. They went into a big bin for the year. It was pretty laid back, individual challenges, team challenges, etc. She varied it each week or within the meeting to make it fun. They did oral presentations on their creations.
  10. We are really struggling. We're in Hot Texas though so we're taking things slow right now enjoying as much outdoor time before the brutal heat hits. We'll do school then. Our 11-yo broke his arm and is in a cast right now so it makes schoolwork a bit cumbersome for him.
  11. I had a pudendal block with my first 2 deliveries, during not before. My OB moved with my 3rd (and 4th) and the new OB doctor wouldn't/didn't do pudendal blocks and we couldn't find anyone in our area that did. I delivered those 2 times naturally.
  12. They've made changes this year so I'm not sure you'll find a review for the most current version. I'm in the same boat as you....what we have works but have been curious about their "new" LA since it is now part of the core.
  13. We used TT5 this year and we supplement with MCP workbook pages for extra practice once a week. My son is very hard on himself when he makes a mistake. TT allows him to see instantly if it was wrong and he can go back and review so he doesn't make the same mistake on the next problem. For us that is a big plus. We will be continuing onto TT next year for both boys.
  14. I voted to look hard now. I think if you plan on re-entering the work force you need to be looking right away. I have a friend who just cannot find anything and like someone else said, the longer she waits, the harder it gets and unemployment is about to run out.
  15. You can send her a text via your email. I've done that before when not wanting to give out my cell #.
  16. Dh = helicopter pilot BS degree + flight school for his certifications+ lots of hours logged. He's gone a lot but it has allowed us to be 1 income.
  17. Our 8-yo Maytag died last month. Dh tinkered with it twice and extended the life about 6 months. After doing research online we ended up replacing rather than repairing. Agreeing the new appliances life span is so much shorter than those of decades past.
  18. I called them today asking some questions and she shared the good news when I asked about shipping times, etc. I like having a print guidebook though so I'm not sure how that would work but it is making me really look at their themed program now.
  19. Get a copy of the police report and definitely call your own insurance. My son was a pedestrian hit by a car. We called 911 and he was transported by ambulance and I left with him. I assumed the police would respond and then contact me. Apparently they interviewed the driver but someone dropped the ball and never filed the report. Anyway..it was a mess. Finally OUR car insurance PIP (he was a pedestrian!) paid us so we could pay the bills. They were going after driver's insurance but in the end, their BIG NAME insurance company never paid a dime because of lack of police report. (to this day it is not understood how they didn't file a police report and had no record though he went by ambulance!)
  20. Absolutely! oooopss never mind. I didn't read the whole thread.
  21. My mom and I were just having this conversation. My dad's doctor has decided to take him off his statin drug because of the memory issues he has been experiencing. He's been on them long-term though and they are just now questioning the connection. He has had memory issues for about the same time.
  22. Thanks for all the replies and lots to research. We have talked about the rainy drizzle gray skies possibly being depressing along the West coast/Seattle area. My family is in the NW Corner of MT. His family is from Portland down through the Willamette Valley area. He will have a schedule where he is home 6 weeks (off) and then working overseas 6 weeks. (hence the need for the airport). Milovany-I forgot about the Ellensburg area. We haven't been back to Washington in many years, but my mom was actually born there. :001_smile: They moved when she was a toddler.
