  1. Thanks LadyNancy and Bensmom! You helped me alot! I wish since BJU charges so much for this they could at least give a record of grades for everything. :)
  2. Hi everyone! I am using the BJUPress 6th grade complete distance learning program. Most of the subjects come with a "record of grades" , But there are few that do not like Heritage studies, handwriting, math, bible and spelling. I would like to know if anyone has record of grades made up for these subjects that they would like to share with me. I am so confused and I don't have the first clue as how to make them myself. Please if anyone could help me, I would so, so, so appreciate it very much. Thanks!
  3. Sheri, yes, you answered my questions. Thank you so much!!!
  4. Shari, are you using just the BJU distance learning or do you add extra classes to it? Also, do you have any record keeping tips for 9th grade? Our dc might be the same age, I have one going into 9th and also going into 6th too!
  5. Thank you, I will do some more reading. I am just running out of time so I am pressuring myself. I'll contact some colleges too. Great advice from you all and thank so so so much!
  6. Thank you all for your input. I did not know they were not accredited. What about the Abeka dvd? I thought they too had an accredited version? I am sooo confused at the moment. I just don't know what to do for my 9th grader. I don't want to mess up anything as far as her being able to attend college. I don't know anything about transcripts and what all else you need for college. It seems as though she was just in 3rd grade, and now we are facing HIGH SCHOOL! I never even thought I would consider homeschooling at this grade, I always said I would put her in private school for high school. Maybe I should, this is just so overwhelming. I just don't know what to do.
  7. Has anyone used the accredited version of the BJU distance learning? I am considering it this year for 9th grade. I need an "out of the box" curriculum because I dont even know where to start putting one together myself. I used the 8th grade hard drive version last year, but I am very nervous about the highschool transcript, that is why I am considering the accredited version. I am just wanting to know what all is involved, what do I need to send in, etc. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
  8. Hi, I am getting ready to HS a 9th grader, and I do not even know what "ancients" is . Am I missing something?
  9. Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows if my 8th grader should be taking any specific tests this year. Seems like when I was in school (long ago :001_smile:) there were state tests that we took. I am in Illinois by the way. I don't want to miss anything that I should be doing, I can't seem to find out anything online. Any input? THanks so much!!!
  10. I'm new here, and have been reading around the topics, I cannot seem to figure out what self "classical" education is, I am very curious about it, can anyone explain it please? Thanks!:)
  11. Thank you Paige for your input, I appreciate it alot!
  12. Thanks Paige in TN, Do you have to sit with the kids while they are doing school or can they work independently? I cannot seem to find any reviews about the parent envolvement. I know that I will be grading their work, but is there any teaching on my part or does the dvds take care of that? Thanks.
