  1. I also commented on another post? don't know what happen to it? I used this w/ my older children for 6 years, and have used it w/ my younger ones for the last 4 years, so I've used it for 10 years, both in High School and 3rd grade- 6th grade! I love the program, it doesn't take a lot of time each day w/ needless workbook pages, and they can't memorize the words, they have to learn to spell w/ the phonic rules and exceptions Here is an example of our SP week; M-X T- Level G group 1 ( or 25 words, unless she misses 5, then we stop) I use the appropriate Activity card for her to apply to the missed words W- X TH-Level G group 2 , etc..... Sidenote: at the review test I have her make a word find for me to do! Then I give her the test the next day F -X kim

  7. Science; I would put both children in Apologia Exploring Creation with Birds, etc your 11 yo will have Jr. High to do General Science History; I would put 9 yo w/ my 11 yo in SL 7 Read alouds, History and supplement w/ my own Literature using some from SL 3 ( I'm assuming these are covering the same time period? ) BIBle; Are they doing the same thing? If not you could have your 11 yo read to your 9 yo the Lesson kim

  21. I agree strongly ! Many people tried to make many excuses for our daughters behavior! When we brought our adopted 4yod home she was a habitual liar! I couldn't trust her at all. AFter dealing w/ this for about 6 months, I called her into my room and said w/ enthusiasm. " Hey Lydia hurry up and get cleaned up, and we are going to see the circus animals in town, dad called and said he will come pick us up!" she got really excited! jumping up and down, as soon as she was emotionally attached to the event and had showed trust in my statement, I immediately sat her down, and said, " Wow! I'm sorry I had to do that , but that was a lie! I wanted you to know how it felt to be lied to?" It painted a very real picture for her, SHe's now 11 and we haven't had hardly any trouble w/ lieing since she was about 9! kim
