As I'm working on gathering our list of curricula for next year I'm lost as to what history to do. I prefer to have something I can have my soon to be 2nd and 4th grade girls do together. This year they are doing Elemental History - Adventures in America. What has been you or your child's favorite history program?
I'll be trying out Saxon math for my 1st and 3rd grad dds this year. What manipulatives do I *need* to have for it? We're on a pretty tight budget so I'm looking to buy the least amount possible but I also don't want to skip something that might be very beneficial for them.
Sunday School (classes for all ages, even adults) is from 10-10:45 and then the morning service is 11-12:30 usually, sometimes we get out by 12:15. The sermon is usually at least 45 minutes. We are Independent Baptist.
Anyone have any opinions on the Spectrum workbooks? I was looking at the spelling and writing books for my 1st and 3rd graders but I'm not sure how good they are. I'm looking for something inexpensive but still academically sound.
