  1. It is so much better than a regular pot pie. Look up PA Dutch pot pie or Amish pot pie. You can make gravy as thick or as thin as you want ( team thick gravy lol).
  2. There are two types of pot pie. The ones baked in a crust with a crust top and the good kind that is noodles in the pot. So it is a pie.
  3. Uniqlo had some wonderful clothes and you can customize the length. DS buys his pants from there as he is 6 ft tall and very skinny. It is the one place I can buy off the shelf and not need to take the waist in. The women’s shirts there I find besides the tunics to be short in the torso but they fit my daughter fine.
  4. If you have had these either as a potential employee or do these as an employer, tell me about it. I have two of these coming up after one normal phone interview and one that was just odd phone interview. Not one question about the position and what I could do just an hour of what words mean to me. I know what they are but tell me about them in your experience. It has been years since I even had a job interview and while I know things have changed, I am not sure if what I thought it was and is now are completely different. The one place says these interviews last about 4-5 hours of what is to me unpaid work and the other one says about 1.5 hours as they do in person one at the same time. So what is your experience with these?
  5. You might be surprised on how many who supplement are still deficient. Especially, as not everyone can absorb from the pills or have genetic issues that they don’t know about that cause it to be difficult to absorb.
  6. Get a copy and take a look at it yourself to confirm. Look at the vitamin d level too as some will say that 30 is normal and that is low.
  7. Has the child had a physical and blood work done recently? If not, I would start there before supplementing as some things can make anxiety worse or mimic it.
  8. Wish I was closer to you as we are hunting a few vintage patterns. On market place and eBay- list as lots of ten. They sell pretty nice that way. I have bought a few that way. Also, see if you have any sewing centers near you that give classes? They usually welcome free complete patterns and fabric.
  9. For some I have dealt with who were crated a lot when younger- they needed a corner or something to back up against to poop. Also, take the pee pee pad outside and set it up in the area. The last dog I did failed foster care with had been crated a long time due to the bad backyard breeder and broken leg. He needed me to help reset his brain. I brought the pee pee pad outside and slowly used that to help him understand to do his business outside. Along with setting up a cheap dollar store fence area for him to back up too. He was the one dog who took the longest to train out of many fosters.
  10. I have seen that. Sometimes it is for insurance to cover something that really a primary care could order first but insurance won’t pay unless the specialist orders the same tests. And sometimes I think it is due to primary care doctor either afraid to handle things they used to or their insurance won’t allow them. We don’t need referrals with our insurance and I am so glad. PCP’s here are rare that see anyone sick ( tell you to go to urgent care instead) or have such long waits. A specialist for us gets us in faster.
  11. Adding to the list- those disposable hand/foot warmers. I keep those in each car kit during the winter.
  12. Lol. I actually looked at that and it is wild caught salmon.
  13. Brown sugar and black pepper are pretty tasty on salmon but I would say yeah no to the cinnamon.
  14. Based on how many were there, I’d say very few.
  15. Doesn’t it make you want to know who thought it was a combination people desired.
  16. We have gone too far people. My local store is selling this. It is just salmon with pumpkin pie seasoning.
  17. There was one played recently by some teens at a thing I was at. There was a circle of plates that had a string attached to each one. Each plate had a prize ( candy bar, a dollar, etc) l or something yucky ( lemon juice in a tiny cup was one). All the strings came together in the middle of the table up through a toilet paper tube. Each teen pulled one string until a plate was in the middle and whatever plate moved they kept the prize. Everyone seemed to love it and it was talked about quite a bit.
  18. Some places don’t allow cars on the road when it is snowing or plowing time. So they have to move it and then come back and shovel out the parking area that the plows put/piled all the snow to park their cars near their houses. So they put out various items to hold the places while they go retrieve their cars from a lot they could park in sometimes a good 1/2 mile or more from their house. The best was someone who posted a lady sitting in dining chair waiting for her spouse to come back with the car. No one was going to take that spot they worked hard on clearing out.
  19. It’s a Boston thing, too! There is a facebook page that posts different ones ( and some are hilarious).
  20. My SIL has several. They are laid back, sweet, giant teddy bears.
  21. Going to add- the ridiculous job application process some places have. I just did one that had me fill out one online directly in the ad, then I had to do a paper one in person, and then they sent a link to fill out another one on their personal server. This process is overdone is some places and I can see why they are having trouble getting people.
  22. We replaced a section of ours in 2020. I upgraded it to solid vinyl fencing and did it ourselves. For everything ( fencing, cement, hardware for a gate, etc), it was $225. This section is a little over 20 feet. I had a quote from a local place and they wanted 800.
  23. Painting gorgeous old good condition furniture hideous colors. Just why? I can see the old not in good condition pieces painted but not the in fantastic condition pieces. My heart weeps for that gorgeous Hoosier cabinet that I went to see and discovered they had rehabbed it into all the primary colors of a box of crayons.
  24. They sound like they are going to be such wonderful neighbors…. I wonder in a year if it will finally dawn on them about what the carpet scraps were for and how they can’t just fix the area they messed up.
