There is a version of strep going around here that includes a rash over most of the body. Two that I know have it and it looks similar to what they have. Take him in and get a strep test. And one did have stiffness in her knees.

I can’t speak for others but I have a 50 oz cup and I love it. My city water is not safe to drink out of the tap ( you have to see what it does to the house filters and then the showers filters to really understand). And places around here don’t always have free water( they charge for it). Plus, fill it twice a day and I know I have gotten the amount of water I need for my body’s needs. I can buy those 1 gallon or 2.5 gallons of water and know what I am drinking is safe and not buying tons of bottles.Bonus it keeps it cold when it is horribly hot out.

The peanut butter connoisseur in our house loved Sunbutter when she attended something that was as nut free. I did send in toast when my oldest was in a program. He liked it room temperature and dry so I toasted it and wrapped it in a cloth napkin. He never complained about it and trust me I would have heard if his toast was not ok.

Same here. I have the informed mail deliver thing that is sent to my email with pictures of what I am supposed to get. That is a joke as either it doesn’t come and I get mail, it shows my mail that I should get and don’t or it had my neighbor’s mail for the image.

This is an honest question- with all that has happened with your youngest, would he feel better having a fresh start at another church even if it is just trying out a youth group? Giving him a choice and maybe trying out another church just one service and see how he feels about it. Another thought- is there a 4H group near you that has a gaming club ( board or video). Those tend to be the most welcoming. The kids in these tend to be very welcoming yet without any pressure on the activities. It could be an outlet for him to find some light friendships.

Even going over their heads, they just don’t care. They just seem happy to have a warm body in the position even if it is not doing its job. But they did seem very proud that they found my lost package that sat in their post office for 8 months. Or the Christmas card they delivered the other day mailed in December 2022.

If it is like our PO- they don’t care. Heck I can’t even get my mail delivered daily as it is cold/raining/sunny/a slight breeze/possible fart carried in the wind/any excuse you can think of.

I get it. If I have to go outside of our trusted circle of specialists- it has a 50/50 shot of being treated poorly. The teeth we had removed so he could get braces had some roots. They couldn’t find his wisdom teeth then and then they appeared years later. Those were special with some growing upside down and sideways. Fortunately, the panoramic X-rays did show how bad the roots were sO they were prepared. I would probably insist that we are not doing the experimental but just the normal removal of the wisdom teeth. Unless he showed me something to change my mind- it would be a hard no. It could be a combo of dollar signs and a paper. Honestly, I am not sure what is worse anymore when it comes down to it lately.

Out oral surgeon has extensive training so much more than a lot would think. His signature is long with many letters. DS had his wisdom teeth out last year and I trusted the surgeon completely with his complicated case. Trust your gut. I hate to say it but any chance this guy is looking for something to write about ( with your son’s history, it is a possibility).

The priest being the spy doesn’t surprise me at all. He must have gone to the same class as the local one who has made more tension in a neighbors divorce that doesn’t need to be added too ( I guess the priest doesn’t understand/care what restraining orders are). My good friend had a relationship with her parents like that. It did push her away from their religion but actually gave her the gift of learning boundaries and finding a wonderful church family that supports her and her family. If anything out of this- I hope your DS finds the same. One that feeds not only his soul but helps all of yours.

There was a post locally about them and most said it was a scam. Including one saying that actually got the gift card but when they went to use it the next day, it was already used. From what I remember, the customer service was not helpful at all to that person.

I add some to chili and spaghetti sauce. Pumpkin soup is delicious and easy to make.

Following up on the diesel heater- so far it has been wonderful. It was 14 this morning at 7 and the greenhouse was a balmy 60 ( I have it set at 62 degrees). It was started at 4 pm the day before and I didn’t turn it off until 1pm today. Even with our snow and ice storm on Tuesday, it was a beautiful 60 degrees in the greenhouse. And it still had diesel in it! On a completely lazy note- I love the remote start on it. Start it while in the house and no worries. The model I got was- Zhibang Diesel Air heater all in one. There are several on Amazon but I started with the cheaper one that had several YouTube reviews on it.

My Fitbit didn’t die but was just so inaccurate it wasn’t funny. Their customer service wasn’t so helpful or nice so out it went. So I switched to an Apple Watch. It is still going strong years later and when I upgraded I gave it to my daughter and it is still going.

My kids both loved playing golf. The culture really depends on your area. We encountered wonderful people and just plain nasty people who acted like their precious was the next Tiger Woods. We only did outdoor courses so for us it is a spring/summer/fall sport. It was pricey when I needed to buy new equipment for them but not too bad really. I got their clubs from marketplace from parents who had bought everything to discover their child hated golf. Most of the parents didn’t spend time talking to anyone so it was a your on your own type of thing. So I never had any support from the other parents but I didn’t care. Buy a fantastic hat and I did a neck fan too as the heat was too much. See if you have a golf camp during the summer near you. It is a great way to see if it is a good fit.

Two I am close to swear the shots help them tremendously. The other one really needs a knee replacement but choose to do the shots first did for years. Now they don’t work and die to her age and severe osteoporosis ( very poor lifestyle choices are a huge part of this), cannot have a replacement. She regrets not having the replacement done now. None have reported any side effects I looked into them for myself but decided against it.

I tried tru earth and hated it. It didn’t clean our stinky, sweaty work clothes. And I do an extra rinse. Maybe if you don’t get your clothes dirty, it works.

Not here. But we are having some issues with getting a couple of medications at work.

There was a part in My Cousin Vinny that was like that. The older lady with glasses couldn’t really see but thought she had seen what happened and the defense was able to show how what she thought she saw/happened wasn’t that. I can’t think of a Law and Order episode that sticks out like that scene.

Dog groomer. I still do it on the side and some at work.

For those of you who remember that I was looking at changing careers- I ended up closing up my business to most of my clients and got a new job as a vet tech. The cost of my supplies just got too much along with the current change of peoples’ attitudes. No one screams at me for not being able to turn their dog into a different breed or argues that they should pay only half as their dog lost weight ( I have no idea how I kept a straight face on that one). Over a month in, I enjoy going to work. This was such needed change that I don’t think I realized that I needed as much as I did. If you kids are looking, one of my interview questions was I capable of doing laundry. They might want to make sure they have that skill 😆. And as for that working interview that was so hilariously bad- they are still looking for a person and have more positions open ( I can’t imagine why….).

Ours was food and it was a process of elimination. He couldn’t have anything with chicken.

Sure. It arrives tomorrow and I will let you know after I test it. A few things I did to mine ( most things I acquired for free)- added slate to the floor to help hold the heat, lined the walls and ceiling in 4 mil plastic, and a few large barrels of water to help with the heat. I keep a sacrificial plant in it to show if it is not keeping the temp properly 😆.

From DH- a diesel heater for my green house. This is perfect for when the main heat source isn’t on or during the middle of the night. Remote start to boot!

Squirrels are my enemy. They are rats with bushy tails. They have eaten a few things on our cars, a fuel line for the go cart and generator besides my garden. Let’s not even mention when they ate my grill two years ago when they took up residence in our garage. Dollar store perfume works wonders to make them leave a detached garage but you can’t go in it for a few days unless you have lost your smell. I bought on Amazon this rodent spray that is a very strong mint. I spray around our cars and a bit under it. So far, over a year and no squirrel/rodent damage to the vehicles.
