  1. My son is entering 9th grade in the fall. Since he has four years of school left, I would like to teach history using the 4 year cycle. For those of you that have done this, what were the time periods that you divided the cycle into? I would love any input or advice. Also, if you have a favorite spine that you used for a particular time period, I would love to hear that as well. Thanks for any help!
  2. I am trying to design two classes for next year for my daughter who will be a senior......health and Biblical womanhood. I would love to hear any ideas that you may have about what I should include in either of these classes.....books, CD’s, DVD’s, teaching tapes, field trips, activities, etc. Anything that you can think of that would pertain to these subjects. Thanks for any input you might share!:)
  3. My son will be in the 8th grade in the Fall. He is a horrible speller!! He has trouble with even the simplest of words. I don't want to spend hours a day on spelling, but we have got to see some improvement. I would love to hear suggestions for a great spelling program that takes no more than 30 minutes per day. Thanks!!
  4. I just got finished looking through the GuestHollow website! What a wealth of information!! Thanks so much for telling me about it!
  5. Thanks for all the great ideas and links! Lots to check out!
  6. Have any of you ever created your own high school health class? I would like to do this for my upcoming 11th grade daughter. It will be for 1/2 credit and would not include PE (that will be a different class). I would like to have her read some books, maybe do some reports/projects. I know I want to include the book What the Bible Says About Healthy Eating, but other than that I'm not sure. For my older daughter I used Abeka's health, but I really don't want to go that route again. Any ideas would be appreciated!
