  1. If that is the case, then we have a problem. They finally admitted SARS-CoV-2 Alpha is airborne. Now Delta is super contagious. I hate to bring it up yet again but eyes are a mucus membrane as well and people are walking around with their n95’s but no eye protection? They aren’t even talking about it? Anyone ever talked to someone in infection control?
  2. If you are up to it, have you thought about showing up to the doctor's office to talk to someone there and saying you aren't going to leave until you get a copy of your records and/or an appointment?
  3. Parents consider lying to public health officials to secure vaccine for under 12 children - NBC
  4. The BinaxNow box only says to notify your PCP. Home tests don't go in any official record AFAIK.
  5. Well...... But within weeks, health officials seemed to be on to something much bigger. The outbreak quickly grew to the hundreds and most of them appeared to be vaccinated. As of Thursday, 882 people were tied to the Provincetown outbreak. Among those living in Massachusetts, 74% of them were fully immunized, yet officials said the vast majority were also reporting symptoms. Seven people were reported hospitalized. The initial findings of the investigation led by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, seemed to have huge implications. https://abc13.com/cape-cod-covid-outbreak-cdc-mask-guidance-face-masks-delta-variant/10918914/ You all do understand that people who are vaccine hesitant might not trust the CDC or MSM and this type of language isn’t going to convince them?
  6. Not who you were quoting, but for me it's more of the shaming and blaming that msm and CDC are engaging in. It has now been proven that Delta essentially causes vaccinated people to become superspreaders, meaning they show little to no symptoms but are highly contagious and going about their day. This phrasing is only going to bite the CDC and MSM later. It's not a pandemic of the unvaccinated. It's a pandemic. I just find it unwise to say anything absolute about this pandemic. From StatNews:
  7. Yeah when I say we need OTC treatments for covid, I'm not referring to vitamins and supplements. I mean actual medications. We did the NAC and vitamin thing all throughout. They didn't hurt and possibly did some good but they also didn't help with symptoms.
  8. Are there any programs for medical personal like there are for teachers that pay back loans if you work for the state hospitals or something along those lines? If not, there should be.
  9. I’m not following the Olympics super closely. If they expect 80% of the athletes to be vaccinated and they are seeing these numbers are they tracking breakthrough cases? Seems like this would be an ideal situation to study these sorts of things.
  10. I’d be frustrated too. Especially because TX has their own way of doing things which doesn’t usually jive with CDC guidelines. It’s really hard to see whether or not those types of guidelines work when they are being undermined. On a side note it’s especially frustrating that people can flood in here unhindered at the the border but Afghani translators that put their life and their family’s life on the line to support our troops were being left behind and beheaded by the Taliban. That seems like the perfect time to break the rules and sort it out later.
  11. ? Sure that’s what I’m saying, I’d trade curbside pickup for the dead and disabled. 😒 I agree this pandemic has exposed our weaknesses. We can become stronger or weaker as a result. I don’t have the time or energy for this.
  12. Oh I know all about that. Dh is on disability after covid and the vaccine. He probably won't be able to go back to work at his hospital. It's been a long year for us. No, we won't ever be the same. Some of the changes are for the good though too. Manufacturing is returning closer to home. More parents are homeschooling. Curbside pickup.
  13. That's why it was in question form in the op. I remembered reading the original article and didn't know what the status was. I knew something like that was floated. This was in Politco so you can see where this comes from. It's 2 hours past when I usually go to bed.
