  1. I've been in almost your exact shoes. I hadn't seen or spoke to my father in over 10 years when i found out he was dying. What I did was send flowers to the hospital, write him a letter, and call him. He didnt want to see me, but I did those things for me. I have no regrets. Hugs to you :(.
  2. We have to post for sale items in the Classified section now. Unfortunately I think it's not working at the moment. When I click it I get an "Oops" error message.
  3. We have to post all of the for sale items in the classifieds now.
  4. I think your list is fine. The only thing I would add/change is maybe instead of cashew chicken get general tso. Even my picky eater loves that. Oh, and Chicken Lo Mein is pretty non-weird too :).
  5. I don't think Angel Food even exists anymore. I remember reading about a year or so ago that they all shut down because of some (I think) financial scandal.
  6. We have taken 2 cruises out of FL; Royal Carribean (Bahamas) and Carnival (Mexico). We enjoyed Carnival more. The food was 100% better. We took 2 of our children on the Carnival one and they had a blast (they were 6 and 8 at the time). I didn't find it too loud/rowdy at all, but we didn't stay out late.
  7. I admit to being pretty ignorant about the pentecostal denomination, but do they really teach this? So, in other words, does the Pentecostal faith teach that any people and/or faiths that do not speak in tongues are going to hell? I grew up a lackluster catholic(went to CCD and church when we visited grandma), and in fourth grade went to a pentecostal summer camp with my best friend. They told me I had to get saved to go to heaven, which was going through a tunnel of people with their hands out, two adults pushing me down, and bawling hysterically for over an hour. It was terrifying, and I left feeling horrible because I thought my whole family was going to hell :(. That is the only experience I have with the pentecostal faith. Is this normal too??
  8. We have the staples brand electric one (it was the cheapest available-can't remember the price exactly but I'm thinking around $20). It has lasted for years and through my daughter's love of colored pencils.
  9. Degree for Men (both the more $$$ clinical strength and regular "Cool Rush") works the best at our house.
  10. What do you find wrong with this? Our school's policy is the same, and I think it's the good one. What about the new girl that just started and no one knows? The autistic boy with few friends? Should these children sit by and watch while the others open valentines? I've had two chidlren in those exact situations, and I'm grateful they were "forced" into getting valentines. You don't have to like everyone for sure, but I do want to show common courtesy/kindness to others.
  11. I'm sorry :(. Maybe a staph infection, which should hopefully clear up with just some antibiotics? We have plenty of experience with that, and it cleared up very easily.
  12. We did lose a book before, and had to replace it for the listed price plus 5.00. I think it was around $15. If you have any overdue books or fines, I thought they wouldn't let you check any more out?
  13. Years ago we borrowed a few vhs tapes and a bunch of books. They were in the back of my van when it broke down. I completely forgot about the library stuff while it was being fixed. The vhs tapes had 1.00/day fines for each :(. We rarely use the library now, and no videos, ever.
  14. If she had no fever or diarrhea for a day I would go. And I'm a germaphobe when it comes to stomach bugs.
