Discovered my 6yo had written on the patio in chalk, "Mom's a robot." I was so impressed with his correct use of the apostrophe.

One of those school days spent popping dark choc chips and ordering new math curriculum. :-/

DS breaks from reading The Invisible Man to ask, "Can I go get the computer and start writing a novel? I've been inspired by H. G. Wells."

"If you cannot 'Kamihameha' quietly, you may not 'Kamihameha' at all." Trying to get my little super saiyans to wind down before bed.

I have just repurchased MM Light Blue 1-6 and now my eyes are closed and ears plugged to all math threads until pre-algebra. LALALALALA

I cannot believe I had to explicitly instruct my 8yo not to both ride his bike and read his Kindle at the same time.

DH seems to think I'm a dork. Every time I read "First Flight: The Story of Tom Tate & the Wright Brothers (An I Can Read Chapter Book)" I cry like a baby at the end.

Gently swinging the morning away in the hammock reading Beautiful Stories from Shakespeare and The War of the Worlds. Does this child know how good he has it?

That feeling when, having found a snake in your house and getting to what you feel confident is a safe distance so as to identify said snake while remaining out of striking reach, you finally find a matching photo on your iPad and read the words, "flying snake." There were worse ways to find that out, I suppose. Still feel like I need a drink, though.

When you turn from reading on your iPad to look for your iPad. *forehead slap*

If I wasn't reading Dracula on my Kindle I would be seriously tempted to toss it across the room and then go jump on it.

The child waiting for his dad to take him to the hospital to check out what appears to be skull fracture from yesterday's adventures randomly called out to me, "Mom! Watch me jump like a jaguar, spin like a jaguar!" I don't know how much more of this my heart and nerves can take. Are there any sedatives safe for children? What about body armor for 4yos?

All but my youngest already require adult size helmets. lol Perhaps there is a connection between the size of his head and the frequency with which it requires medical attention. :P My older two have not had the same trouble but then, they both possess natural fear and the ability to stand still - two things my 3rd child lacks.
Thank-you so much for your concern, ladies. I appreciate it ! :)
