  1. I had a tubal after my c-section and I regret it to the point that I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest when I think about it. I never should have had it done. I'm trying to deal with it the best I can but some days I just can't function because it hurts so much. I asked my doctor at my 2 week check up if it would have been possible to have more children after this last c-section because of my uterus being so thin and he said "yes, more children would have been possible." I cried for days after that. I just need to know if anyone here had their tubes tied and then had a reversal? Or know of anyone who did this? Was it successful? Or has anyone here gotten pregnant even though they had a tubal ligation? And please don't tell me 7 is enough...that I should be happy with that. Because I told myself that before I had it done and now I feel like I'm dying inside... TIA

  3. I can't have it any other way. I am a total neat/clean freak. I just had a baby by C-section a week ago today and I've been cleaning...I can't help it...LOL It drives me insane for my house to be messy. But I have alot of help too. I have 3 teenage girls (17,16,13) who do alot of the cleaning. We have a chore list and everybody knows what's expected and when to do it. My son (10)has chores and so does my 6 year old. If I see something extra I want done, I either do it myself or I get one of the kids to do it, but it will get done. ;) Its hard and exhausting at times, but to me, well worth it to save my sanity. I can't function in a messy house.
  4. I'm not trying to start a debate or whatever...I just wanted the ladies on here that are pregnant and may be thinking about a VBAC to know that the 1% chance of rupture, although very small, can happen to them. I thought it would never happen to me because I had 5 natural births in a row before my 1st C-section. So, I thought it wouldn't be a problem for me...but it was. That's all I was saying...
  5. Please take the risks of a VBAC (if you attempt one) very seriously. I nearly lost my life last Thursday attempting a VBAC. We would have lost the baby as well... To make a long story short, my water broke while we were at a restaurant eating lunch Thursday. Went to the hospital and labored for about 6 hours with no progress at all. Doctor gave me the choice of going ahead with the C-section, and as much as I fought it, I went ahead and decided to do it. Good thing I did because the cord was wrapped 3 times around the baby's neck and would have killed him had I decided to continue with labor. Also, the doctor made it perfectly clear I would have ruptured my uterus and may not have made it. And if I was lucky enough to make it, would have needed a transfusion. So please, if you attempt a VBAC, just know that the risk is there even though it is only 1%. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v396/blusunrize/Tristan-1.jpg Blessed to be here and be Classicalmom2seven!
  6. For me, I'd rather have a natural UNmedicated birth than have another C-section. My 6th was an emergency C-section and the recovery was total misery. I'll be 39 weeks pregnant with #7 this Saturday and I'm doing everything I possibly can to avoid another C-section. I've had 2 totally natural UNmedicated births from start to finish, and I'd rather do that again than have another C-section...But that's just IME.
  7. As of right now, I'm 35wks and 3 days and my house can be a mess, but as long as the cieling fans, baseboards and bathtubs are clean...I'm content with that. I guess that's a little strange...
  8. I don't post...but I wanted to say that I will pray for your nephew. I am 28 weeks pregnant with #7 which is a boy. We are naming him Tristan as well. :001_smile: So, I feel for some reason, I should pray for this little baby. :grouphug: Please update when you can...
  9. I guess different places do things differently. My son-in-law just got a tatoo on his back and they GAVE him a tube of neosporin to put on it. (And this is a very, very reputable place in Dallas) They also told him to keep it covered for about 1-2 weeks from the sun. But yes, after it heals, you do need to keep sunblock on the tats to keep them looking good as far as the color goes.
  10. As for the tatooes, just make sure your son keeps in mind they are "forever" and it's wise to get them where they can be covered. My husband has tats up both sides of his arms and on his back. He has to wear long sleeves even in the summer to cover them up for work. He should also remember that alot of places will make you take out your piercing for work (if it can be seen). It won't heal if he has to keep taking it out. If he's going to get one, it should have plenty of time to heal before taking it out. I've had my nose done twice, my belly button done three times, my eyebrow once, and my tongue once, and the tops of my ears on both sides. I think out of all those, the nose was the easiest to heal. The tongue can get infected easily if you don't keep it extremely clean. Most guys get the nipples pierced, the lip, or below the lip, or the eyebrow. I've never seen one with a belly piercing. My nephew did the nipples and the eyebrow with no problems. :0) Cleanliness is the main thing with piercings. With the tats, you want to keep them covered in Neosporin (sp) and keep them covered from the sun.
