  1. I used contact paper for awhile. When I finally broke down and got the laminator I wondered why I hadn't done it sooner, I was in heaven!!! It's sturdier, easier to use, and has less trash than contact paper. I would say definitely go with the laminator, it's well worth it.
  2. We used a lot of the printables from here, enjoy!
  3. Mine is also 6 and not very interested right now. When he started getting frustrated with formal instruction I backed off and did games instead. Of course, when my 4 year old wanted to do what big brother was doing and picked it up right away and is already ahead of his older brother I started feeling like I did something wrong. It's so hard as homeschooling parents to know what's right!

  5. MathUSee is not a colorful workbook, but we have loved using it. The manipulatives are colorful, the lessons are short and to the point with lots of review built in, and a great progression of lessons.
