My eldest was stopped on his way home from work one night, specifically because he was wearing a hoodie and the cop couldn't see his face. Tall, light skinned, nineteen years old. Few people walk here, most have cars, and few things are open late at night. Gangs and drugs are issues. My son showed him ID and explained he was coming home from work (the officer then realized where he worked and verified with my son). My son understood, but will still use his hood because of weather and it's safer with the gang issue for them NOT too be able to see his youth or skin tone.

I just saw it. I was not called a whore, but I was called a b*tch. I had a guy act out sex and grunt all because another guy had kissed me (implying to our entire gym class that we had done more). My daughter has been called a whore, because she told a guy she wasn't interested in dating anyone,but she was fine with just being friends. So he called her a whore to make her feel like crap for turning him down. How many girls are raped and molested, called a whore, and fall into bad life patterns because they eventually stay to believe what they are told and feel they deserved how they were treated?

My eyes are hazel green and fall in between what is called chartreuse and amber. I have green and yellow. Our town's only all night pharmacy has decided to close at night now :( Pretty much we have a couple of gas stations, Walmart, hotels, and Waffle House open all night. That's it. It makes it difficult for those of us that NEED to work midnights.

I'm not a holiday shopper, but my job relies on people going out and traveling. Thanksgiving isn't time and a half for us, but the other major holidays are. Please tip your waitresses well ;) For many of us, this is paying the bills, not buying Christmas.

The entire adoption industry needs to be overhauled and cleaned up and supports put in place for both adopting parents and the children. I'll leave that there and not go further, because this is one of those issues that makes my blood boil.

This. Also, large families are NOT more likely to have large families. My husband is one of two and each has eight children. I'm one of ten. I have eight, but everyone else has 0-3 (3, 2, 3, 3, 1, 0, 1, 1, 0 = 14 + my 8 = 22 = average 2.2). Our family has the least amount of waste/use of resources (other than electricity and water)...we even walk everywhere. One of the siblings with one child has the greatest...two cars, lives in an expensive suburban house, travels regularly for vacations, etc (things the rest of us don't do), must likely eat out more, buys newer and nicer things, not used, etc.

I never made any claims about the completeness of a manuscript, etc. Manuscripts have been found over time. You specifically asked why a particular manuscript was keep locked away. I answered it. It was in care of the Vatican and they locked it away to preserve it. The end. I don't know of any ancient manuscript existing today that is exactly and completely what we have in our homes. NONE.
