How do you decide when to let a pet die?
mom42terrificgirls replied to klmama's topic in General Education Discussion Board
This may sound tacky, but when we put my beloved dog Lucky down, I took the girls out window shopping. We actually window shopped and talked about Lucky the whole time we walked. I just felt that it was better than us sitting around an empty house, looking for her all day. We stayed gone most of the day until the three of us decided that we were "ready" to go home and face a Luckyless house. It really helped. I second the poster who said to have a good talk with your vet. -
Kids with OCD..Do you have one?

That would probably be CBT - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. It has helped me a lot. -
I am currently brushing up on my Spanish. I had nine years of Spanish but haven't used it in years. I just bought some advanced grammar books at Barnes and Noble. Also, I have the Alpha Omega course on Power Point which I need to do soon because I am looking for a job and it is listed on many job requirements.

We had a MAJOR infestation last month and did not have the money for an exterminator, so we set off about five or six flea bombs in the house. That didn't seem to work. It wasn't until we spread Sevendust in the yard that they finally died. We have been flea-free for a month. Total cost was under $50.

One dd went through Earobics 1. I did not see improvement. She also went through Samonas. Again, I never saw improvement. My other dd, however, went through Samonas and saw improvement. However, she is 15, and feels like she wants to go through it again.

I know of no other DVD curriculums besides A Beka or BJU. SOS is a CD program where the student types in the answers. I guess you could call Teaching Textbooks or DIVE that type of program, too, since the student does not enter the answers in those, either.

I saw it last night with my 18 yr old dd. This is not my type of movie so I cannot give it a "grade." I had a hard time following things, especially towards the end - the frames moved pretty fast. I would have to go back and see it again, I guess, to pick up on some of the dialogue I miessed. (I heard the audience laugh several times when I hadn't heard the dialogue.) I personally don't have a desire to see it again, though. I can see how playing a role like this day in and day out could really mess with someone's head and cause them to have difficulty sleeping or with depression. (Heath)
