Quitting at school didn't last long. All it took was a friend who teaches 9th grade science getting breast cancer. :( Of course I'll come in for you as needed!

Feeling very proud of my family. We navigated what could have been a difficult family reunion with grace. Everyone was willing to forgive and take the high road. These are really good people, I'm lucky to be connected to them.

Off to meet fil for the first time. He and dh haven't spoken in 30 years. This should be . . . interesting.

The Hobbit opens tonight, with my beautiful girl featured as the Elf Queen. Yes, I know there was no Elf Queen in the book. Or the movies. But in the play, there is an Elf Queen, and she's it! Break a leg, honey.

Vegan eats, historical fiction to watch, and homeschool planning. Does it get any better!?

Have I mentioned lately that I adore my DH? We started the day with homemade sticky buns. Now he's in there doing a turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, the whole works. Love!!!

Nothing makes you feel more like a dinosaur than pulling out your old science textbook to plan a unit, and realizing that it is *20 years* old. Um, yeah, they have probably discovered one or two things since then . . .

I just planned our lit studies . . . for the next 6 years. Silly wabbit!

What have I done? I have just agreed to being interviewed by a writer for our local paper about homeschooling. Wish me luck.

I finally finished my physics syllabus! It's been a loooooong 10 days of work.
