  1. Is the High School History of the Renaissance World an entire year course? I’m trying to find a HIstory course that is as close to British Literature as possible. I know this won’t fit exactly, but it could be made to work. Also the map supplement, is it contained in the activity workbook already? Is the map supplement pdf is just for those who are doing the pdf version of the activity book? Thanks so much,
  2. Yes the facts practice tests. They mention A-Q in the textbook but there is no mention of R-X. How do I use Practice tests R-X? Thanks much
  3. I am using Saxon Math 76 3rd edition for the first time this year. I have a question and I have looked through all of my material including the book "Using John Saxon's Math Books". I was looking through the material and the Test forms and noticed that there are tests that don't seem to be associated with any lessons in the textbook. In the Test Forms book they are Tests R-X. Can anyone tell me how to use these tests? Thanks much.
  4. I will be starting with CC in the fall and was wondering if someone "out there" has used both Biblioplan and CC. I was wondering if I supplement the history that we will be learning in CC with Biblioplan, what years should I use in Biblioplan if CC is in Cycle 3? Thanks for whatever information you may have. Jonelle
  5. My oldest is 9 and we are doing TOG year 4, though this is our first year using TOG. I've been doing the Classical model so it fit with where we were in history. I have a daughter who is 8 and could do it, but I think she's a little behind in her writing. She'll probably catch up by the end of this year. They are at the same reading level. Thanks.
  6. I have IEW's Student Writing Intensive A and am excited about doing it. The First question I have is. Do you teach writing every day? If not, how many times a week do you do it? Also, SWI A has it planned out to do 14 weeks of lessons. Obviously my school year is longer than that. What do I do after that? I am doing TOG as well. I'm not very good at finding stuff to write about so are there paragraphs out there that I can use to supplement after the suggested lessons are finished? Thanks so much! Jonelle
  7. We are moving in a couple of months and I would love to have a list of good reading books for an almost-2nd Grader who reads voraciously and an almost-1st grader who's right behind him. I was thinking of easy chapter books that keep their interest, but aren't fantasy themed. I looked at the library the other day and I was so disappointed because most of them are so "magical" and fantasy. We've read a few of the Magic Tree House books and some are okay and others are full of new age nonsense. Any ideas would be appreciated!!!!!
