  1. Kirsten, Great picture of how you used the Bento box. The cards seem to fit perfectly. We just started using Logic of English this week so I will see how the box works out. Blessings, Jill
  2. After reading the posts here I headed to Target. I bought the Bento organizer, but I also bought a Sterlite box. The Bento organizer is neat, but I like the plastic box better. Here are pictures of the box with cards and homemade dividers. You will notice a heavy AAS influence in the divider cards. Sterilite Clip Box Set of 4 - Green (Medium) : Target The Target website says that it is not available in stores, but my store had it in a couple of colors. I have used AAS for the past year and would recommend it, but I wonder why so many people drift from AAS to Logic of English. For me it was the plan in the front of the book to work through the lessons quickly with an older student. Also, I really enjoy buying new curriculum. Blessings, Jill
  3. I can't find the post or blog entry by SWB responding to the conflict between the GHC and Ken Ham. Could someone please direct me to it? Thank you, jfurlough
  4. I may not be able to answer your question directly because we haven't studied Latin. My children learn Greek beginning in about 7th or 8th grade but we start English From the Roots Up in about 3rd or 4th grade. I have my younger children copy one page from English From the Roots Up every other week. They do the copywork over two days on notebook paper, not index cards because it gives them more space and it stores nicely in a notebook. Eventually DC can copy a word per week in one sitting. They have a nice collection of Greek and Latin roots stored up before starting Greek. I am all for simplifying, but English From the Roots Up has been beneficial for us. Blessings, Jfurlough
  5. My oldest son used only Math-U-See through all of his homeschooling. It turned out to be excellent preparation for all of his math CLEP tests and college classes where he has made high grades. By the way, Math-U-See is also great preparation for the math needed in physics and chemistry. I will definitely continue with Math-U-See for my other children. Blessings, jfurlough
