Had church yesterday, so today we worked on a few projects. Primarily organizing and cleaning in the basement. Got a lot done! Tomorrow my cousin comes to tape the drywall upstaris. Super excited for that!

Had a family day today to celebrate a huge chunk of our project being done. Dd2 got to spend her birthday money. She got an American Girl doll, Julie. She also got to pick out new earrings as did dd1 which they will be a combined birthday/Easter present from the grandparents and us. we go to the piercing shop since I have a history of metal issues. We stopped for lunch at the in-laws too.

All the sheetrock is finally hung up! I am so very happy. Tomorrow, I will call my cousin to set up him doing the taping. Have I mentioned how excited I am! We also took down the lovely 1970's floor to ceiling divider between the dining room and stairs. Now, to decide between a half wall and mission railing and put up a temporary something there

We have the king creek 6. There are 4 of us, but it is workable since the vestibule can store gear. We bought it at rei and it was the previous years model, so it was marked down. We also bought the footprint for it. I love having the footprint, no more trying to fold tarps just so. Otherwise we probably would have gone with the rei kingdom.

this week has been a spring clean week. With all our remodeling, several areas have been neglected. So school is audio books, cleaning, art and a few other random things. so continuing with that theme... Start on the girls room. After another partial remodeling weekend, only had Sunday to work, we now have 1/2 the sheetrock hung!!!! I decided to make this a partial spring break week. We are working on our home-ec unit as the house has been badly neglected due to remodeling. :lol: The kids side of the basement room is about 80% done.
