We did a big round right before Christmas when unpacking from the basement remodel. Part 2 will come after the upstairs bedroom gets repainted and turned into an office/art studio. Then I will also purge stuff from the storage room

Made a to do list for picking back up our basement finishing. Paint upstairs bedroom, hang 5 doors, put up trim, install shelving in upstairs bedroom.

The lemon meringue pie was gross. I've had better. I had a sugar cookie and brownies are in the oven.

Another in MN. It is 54 currently at my house. Last year it was -11F with a wind chill of -32F.

Cinnamon rolls done and in fridge for morning. Dinner rolls are baking now. Roast is on the grill. Cookies all baked. Debating if they need frosting (sugar cookies, but this recipe doesn't actually need it, but it is good, can always do that tomorrow if I want). Youngest has a friend over and the kids just finished watching Christmas Vacation as friend had never seen it. Once I heard my kids laugh and he said "what the.??...", lol

Made quivers cinnamon rolls dough and will assemble rolls later and pop them in the fridge. Made sugar cookie dough, it is chilling. Other food is prepped (veggies cut, etc). Football is on, will watch Christmas movies and maybe go look at lights later

We had a tree I absolutely loved. It was too wide for our current space. Found a tag that said national tree company. We replaced it with the Yuletide tree from hobby lobby. It is a nice looking tree. We go unlit because we purchased twinkly lights (app controlled and do lots of things). Also I have larger LED lights and bubble lights that I used prior, so not the traditional small white lights. Plus if lights go bad, you have to replace the whole thing.

We got together with inlaws last weekend and my brothers yesterday. We like to gather not on the day of. It relieves stress and anxiety. Christmas Eve, even if we see sil or my brother stop by, the pressure is off. We will cook a nice meal, maybe go look at Christmas lights and watch Die Hard and other movies. Christmas, we stay in our PJs and play games, do puzzles and watch movies. I will make Quivers cinnamon rolls Christmas morning too.

Make paper snowflakes and buy a gingerbread house kit or two to decorate, I don't consider these tempting as the contents, while technically probably edible, are usually gross. Or if he can stand to be around food he can't eat, a sugar cookie decorating kit...several of our local grocery stores and bakeries offer premade cookies and then piping bags of frosting and sprinkles sold as a kit this time of year.

Nice headphones or room for a listening speaker set up? ( I could ask DH for a recommendation if you have a budget) My dh has a chair seated in the perfect position, centered between the speakers. Speakers are at ear height and away from the wall a couple of feet, so it takes up a bit of floor space, but it's great for audiophiles.

Finished planning lesson for after New years, got it to the print center. Need to work on sub plans for upcoming appointments.

The school day went off without a hitch...quite a change from last week. Got some stuff submitted for FSA reimbursement. Made fried rice for dinner.

Went to the mall of America to go walking this morning. Put in 5 miles. (Walked each floor twice... Once one three longer mile path and again after it opened on the shorter inside path). Grabbed lunch and went to a brewery with inlaws. Went to their house and spent time helping mil. DHs uncle had a stroke and was transported to a hospital near us last night. They live 2 1/2 hours away, but they needed an MRI machine and open bed. Offered his aunt a place to stay, but tonight, she's is staying at the hospital.

Got the rest of the straggling stuff cleaned up! My family room, dining room and living room all are finally back to normal. I still have deep cleaning/purging to do, but the main areas are fully livable now and pleasant to be in. The other areas will come one at a time when we are not doing other things. Christmas cards sent out. Grocery order placed and arrived. Chex mix is in the oven.

I think I like the new BF

Kind of surprising that it is not bigger than the other words, I mean, you wouldn't want to forget who gave you the gift. I'd probably have to frame that!

Another crazy day. Who had "sent kids home if they could get a ride because we were missing 3 of our 7 teachers today" on their bingo card for the week. Found out a couple of not great medical things regarding two family members. It's been a bit much.

Made beef bahn mi bowls for supper then I went and dropped off some books and a viola with a friend to bring into school (I used to work with her there, so she can pass along my spiritwear shirts to a new teacher there)
