  1. Young one is now a licensed driver. Rash went away overnight, so we cancelled that appointment.

I'm waiting on eldest to finish their class at the community college since driving is difficult these days. We will pick up the cap and gown then go home to eat and finish packing what they need for the weekend and head to the Neuro.

  2. DH is taking youngest to their drivers test 2 hours away this morning. Then I made her an afternoon Dr appointment for a resh that showed up yesterday.

I am working 2 hours then coming home to help eldest get to school and then to Neurology since they had a cancellation for today (up from May 15). Will drop them off for a ride to a civil Air patrol weekend event after the Dr. It's been a bad week for dizziness.

Have to go back to the farm tomorrow to pick up a few things before dh's cousin moves in.

  3. Young one is still sick, had to cancel behind the wheel so she was thrilled. Busy day at work, had to sub on prep again. At least they improved our teacher sub rate to $50.

Ran an errand after work. Came home and had to make a phone call since youngest was accepted into a program and with nothing to indicate otherwise, we thought it was full time. But the registrar only put her in 6 credits of classes.

    Heading to bed now.

  4. Came home from my donation and the laundry sink/main drain was backed up. Ate supper and then helped DH solve that problem (I should be resting/hydrating/not lifting after a donation). Then youngest (stayed home from school today) woke up so we checked her temp. Has a fever. Praying hard eldest does not get it. They are still having their own medical issues (so tends to get hit harder) and they have a civil air patrol event this weekend and will be mad at youngest if it spreads.

Made a bed for eldest upstairs for the night away from youngest a bit more. To complicate things, youngest has her last behind the wheel scheduled for tomorrow and drivers test scheduled for Friday. We will have to see how this plays out too.

    Happy Monday!

  5. No prep today as a co-worker was out.

Told the boss I will teach summer school.

Called on adding insurance to my new car.

Donating double red blood cells as we speak. This should earn me my gallon pin.

Groceries will be delivered soon. Frozen pizza and bagged salad for supper.

  6. It's supposed to be gorgeous out today so we will do a few outside spring tasks like move the boat out to the driveway and uncover the trees.

Have to go pick up some dirt and water softener salt.

And then it's been a busy weekend so today we will have to do regular weekend cleaning...bathrooms, stairs, etc.

Should probably plan out a menu for the week at some point too.

  7. The peach cake was delicious! The frozen dough was old so the cinnamon rolls bombed. Will have to make them again with fresh dough. Ham was a little dry and the majority didn't care for the glaze and would prefer a non sweetened ham. But it was a good day!

  8. Dinner rolls rising now. Gramma's cinnamon rolls rising in the oven. (Both use frozen dough).

Will assemble green bean casserole and pop the ham in the oven in a bit. Need to shower before company comes.

I’m mixing things up around here. We used to live where we could get a free ham if we spent $300 so we had endless ham. This year I think we’ll have:

chicken stuffed with mozzarella and asparagus

    my yummy scalloped potatoes

    broccoli salad?

    salad with toppings

a peach cake recipe I found online with whip cream or custard

    wine/fizzy apple juice

I'd love the peach cake recipe 🙂

  10. Eldest had an all-day civil Air patrol event. They had to be dropped off at 6:30 this morning and we picked them up a little after 7:00 tonight.

Youngest had dress rehearsal for spring musical and had to be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up at 6:00.

Hubs and I went to a couple of thrift stores and the record store. We found a few CDs. Came home and worked on organizing some things in the art room. I'm at a point where it is almost done but if I just push everything that is not quite organized off into a space just to clear the room, these are the types of things that then will never get done, So I keep plugging away. Is satisfying though, doing things like refolding fabric and organizing it in rainbow order... Sure looks pretty when it is done.

DH watched a movie and I had a show playing in the background while I was working this afternoon.

After we picked up youngest, we drove to SILs and had supper and then picked up eldest since that was right by SILs. Just got home and heading to bed

  11. Woke up, worked on stuff for the new term (today was a grading day for last term so I got to work from home).

Ran the little one up to school because their high school has a late start on Mondays, saved her from having to get on the bus really early.

Worked on organizing fabric for a few hours this morning and then again in the afternoon. Got it all done except for the fabric scraps.

Drop the dog off and picked him up from being groomed, it was long overdue.

Ran to Menards and picked up a few bins for organizing in my art room.

Made the brine and transferred the pickled fish into jars. We had 11 lb of northern.

Wrapped up by watching TV with DH and getting my slideshow ready for tomorrow.

  12. I've done an altered book example and some collage greeting card samples for my students (high school art teacher at an alternative high school).

At home, working on organizing everything and unpacking. Today I organized fabric, got most done except fabric scraps. If you have a favorite way to store those, I'd love ideas.

  13. worked on cleaning up/unpacking in the art room...I only get handfuls of minutes at a time and then I realize I need more of a different size bin. Making progress, but it's slow. Got 11 lbs of northern out of the freezer to start the pickled fish process.

Threw a chuck roast on the grill today. Having some cornbread, slaw and potatoes. Might watch a movie later.

I had no idea Addison’s was that rare! We had a neighbor with it before we moved to this house.

From what I'm reading adrenal insufficiency is more common and often gets called Addison's secondary or tertiary (depending on where the failure happens) but primary Addison's is autoimmune failure of the adrenal glands is rare. All adrenal insufficiency is treated through the same medication protocol with the addition of a mineral steroid for primary Addison's since they don't process minerals.properly either.

Don't rule out St. Paul though.  It's just across the river from Minneapolis and is generally more affordable and neighborhoody.  At least I think so.  🙂

Or the suburbs. There are some great areas. I grew up in Minneapolis and now live in the suburbs. I miss parts of city life, but like the space I have. The further out you go, the less diverse IMO.
