Do they just start at the beginning of Phonics Pathways?

We will finish The Reading Lesson soon. What next for reading instruction? We have All About Spelling, should I start that? Advise me ladies!

My son has requested that we study animals for science next year. He will be in 1st grade, but 7 years old and has a large knowledge base of animals already. I like the look of WP Animals, with the books & notebooking - but I just want a science curriculum, & it covers many subjects. Suggestions?

I'm actually interested in doing something similar. Maybe combining eithe MFW 1 or WP Hideaways with AIW.

The title says it all.

We just finished MFW K, but we sped it up to double time. 3 days per letter. It worked out great! He loved it. But if you want to take the whole school year, you could add in things like artist/composer study, poetry, & nature walks/journaling. Feel free to PM with questions if you need details on how I sped it up.

Well I did it! After YEARS of research I finally chose a curriculum for our first official year of homeschooling! Ahhhhh! So nervous & excited! We chose HOD LHFHG for our kinder year. We are about to finish MFW K,which we did as a summer PreK. HOD moms, tell me I made the right choice! It's so nerve-racking. There are so many beautiful programs to choose from. Risking loosing money when on a tight budget makes me nervous. I hope I can do this!:D

We are about to finish MFW K. My son is 6 but I sort of considered last year prek & what we will do this year as k. All labels aside... Who has done MFW 1st? Ive heard there is a big jump from MFW K to 1st, but he will be 7 in Feb. Also iis the picture study, nature study, & composer study specifically included in the actual schedule or do they just send you the books? I am also looking at HOD LHFHG. Thanks!
