Vicki, Thank you for that detailed post! The order is placed, the vote is in.... iphone 4s it is. I am loving my ipad and I think that if I just get used to working with the itunes it will be good. Plus..I bought the Apple Care (which I think is silly...having to pay to ask for help for 2 years..but whatever) and everyone I have called has been very nice and very helpful so..that is a major bonus for me. Any comments on otterbox cases and why they have the stuff under them or which cases are best to help protect ipad/iphone?

My daughter has been searching out scholarships, any suggestions on where to go for possible scholarships/grants for college students.

Also..do ipads and iphones NEED screen protectors? I know a good case is probably important.

Wow..this is kinda funny! Well....you all have been so helpful, want to switch to an otterbox conversation? I bought Otterbox for my iphone 4 s that i AM getting, can't wait till he runs the payment for it so I can be done..ha! I have an otterbox for my ipad 3 and HOW FRUSTRATING. By the end of the day it will barley swipe correct because of all the rainbow looking stuff under the otterbox screen protector? What is that, paid $55 hoping it would protect my ipad but I need to be able to use it and wow, taking the case off and on to wipe it out is a PAIN!!!

So..oh my goodness, I thought I was done...OK..would you NOT use an iphone just because of itunes? Is there a way to get around itunes. I was trying to do something in there the other day and what a pain!! Or..is it a matter of figuring it out?? Kinda wishing I got the S3 now...GEESH!!!

Welp....I just ordered a case off ebay for an iphone 4s. I got to talking to the apple lady as I had questions about my ipad and while I am just learning it I think it would be best for me to have a similar device as my phone so I am not trying to figure out two different things AND I really want to be able to easily take pictures and put them on my ipad etc..etc.. We have been having a lot of fun with the ipad soooo. I figure I will give it a go and in two years I can try a Galaxy or whatever there happens to be then..ha! Thank you all so much for your input!! I still hate itunes, not sure why, it just always seems so complicated but, I will figure it out I guess. I am so used to dealing with amazon for music, movies etc..it is all so EASY.

Okay..one more thing. I can get google maps and things on an iphone 4s? What about itunes? I found an amazon instant video app for my ipad, not sure how well it works yet but...I use AMAZON a LOT!!! For buying, instant video, prime kids shows etc.... Also...when I used to use itunes a long time ago, it was a pain, when I went back in a few years later, I couldn't transfer my music ..can't remember what happened. I love that I can get weather channel and weight watchers apps on the ipad, is all of that able to be put on a galaxy s3? Geesh, I have got to decide and be done!

Oh my goodness, just when I decide someone else mentions something....boo hoo hoo! I just remember hating itunes and I heard that itunes does stuff to your phone automatically.... OK, is there a "child" app or security on either phone, which one would be better in that regard, child lock or security lock? If I ask questions and you all are going "what is she talking about", keep in mind I am not tech savvy at all!!!!!!!

I will not use it for a ton of stuff, still in the stone ages technologically so....this would be a beginning phone, as a matter of fact I just got my ipad today.

Okay..being new to technology, I am getting an ipad 3, looking at my first smartphones. I thought I had decided on an iphone 4s, then a few people suggested the Samsung. I like the bigger screen but...I want a phone that is easy to use, I would never appreciate a ton of stuff on it, at least not right now, I want clear calls etc.... Suggestions? I need to decide today and be done..ha! Kim

You guys are so helpful...wow Chipolte app, if only I lived near a Chipolte! We don't even have a starbucks. Hey...we just got an ihop 30 miles from where we live. I just visited my daughter who recently got married. She lives near Minneapolis, MN, I live in Western, KS, 2 1/2 hours from Wichita, KS, which is the biggest city near here. I loved many aspects of the bigger city.....oh well, we have a Pizza Hut 15 miles away..ha! That is it. So...I really wished I had had an ipad when staying at the hotel because I won't use hotel computers for anything important and the tv shows were horrible. But..planning on future travels, I hope...as my children get older and leave :( . I've got to get out of the stone ages here. I just bought a basic phone I could text with a year or so ago..ha! Thanks again for all your input. I think I will get the 4s and possibly the ipad 3 refurbished.

Yeah..I am not interested in Suri! i think the 4s has a better camera, that is one thing I really want, and navigation?? I am getting confused, I have looked at so many phones, read a ton of reviews..geesh! Everytime I contact Verizon I get a different opinion on phones..ha! If I have a smartphone truly no need for cellular on my ipad right?
