  1. What did you do for grade 2? I haven't heard too many good reviews on SSRW grade 2 so I was wondering what you went with.
  2. I am schooling 2 children ages 8 and 6 this year, and I have a 1 year old and another baby due March 2012. Does anyone have any methods that have worked for them? Homeschooling during naptime is what I am likely to do. Just a little stressed at the moment because #4 was a complete shock to us!
  3. There is a second level to SSRW, but I've read a lot of reviews on it and they weren't too exciting. I didn't think SSRW prepared my DS well in the writing department, sentence structure, paragraphs, story-telling, etc...
  4. Thank YOU!!!! I am enjoying all of these thoughts and ideas. Yes, DS is entering 2nd grade. On his CAT test, he scored low in language usage and grammer and high in reading comprehension. But, I will definitely look into WWE. I'm still open for more ideas if something else works in your household.
  5. What is WWE? He is a decent speller. I use Horizons Spelling for that and it has helped a lot. Should I consider Sonlight? It's so $$, but if it's worth it I will.
  6. I used Sing, Spell, Read and Write last year and loved it, the K-1 combo. However, I have NO IDEA what to go with this year. Please help me. Writing is my DS weakest subject, Reading is strongest. I need lots of suggestions!
  7. What test do you give your kids at the end of the year? My state requires a test score, or a write-off from a certified teacher who has looked over all his work. I am opting for the test, but I have no idea what my options are. HELP!
