  1. Reading can be fun, but it can also be time-consuming if your speed is not as fast as you'd like it to be. An average reading speed can range from 200 to 350 words per minute, but that rate can vary depending on the material and your reading experience. It's also important to understand what you are reading--even when you improve your speed.

  9. Learning how to solve problems in mathematics is knowing what to look for. Math problems often require established procedures and knowing what and when to apply them. To identify procedures, you have to be familiar with the problem situation and be able to collect the appropriate information, identify a strategy or strategies and use the strategy appropriately. G. Polya wrote a book titled 'How To Solve It' in 1957. Many of the ideas that worked then, continue to work for us now. The steps below are very similar to those expressed in Polya's book. All the best........:)
  10. We often take the things we learned while young for granted. Reading and writing are two things that all of us do on a daily basis. When you've been doing something for a very long time without having to think about it, teaching a beginner how to perform this function can be somewhat challenging. Writing in cursive is something that most of us learned many, many years ago. Showing a young child or an adult how to do so can be frustrating for the student if they are not being taught step-by-step.
