  1. I tried to PM you, but it said you couldn't receive messages
  2. My husband has been really struggling with his mental health for the past few years and has been attending individual therapy. Surprisingly, he was the one to put this show on for us to watch. He recognized parts of himself in the people on the show. We were able to talk through *their* issues without openly admitting they were *his* issues. He was able to think through his behaviors and thought patterns with less shame. He also was able to see that relationships really can improve. He was then able to take those topics to his individual therapist. Thanks to the show, he had many breakthroughs. It was truly a catalyst for the improvement of his mental health. He has a long way to go, but we are very glad these couples shared their struggles with us.
  3. I just submitted a claim with Allianz and was paid quickly. We had to change the flight due to weather. We ended up extending the trip by a week and then flew back to a different airport than the original ticket. I wasn't expecting for the claim to be approved. The reimbursement was for $12 less than the new ticket price, so be sure to check the coverage limits.
  4. Our lab currently loves this egg wobble toy: https://www.target.com/p/egg-wobble-dog-toy-boots-38-barkley-8482/-/A-87079682 Playtime is very loud (the dog and the toy on the tile floor). We all just pop our headphones in for 10 minutes and he wears himself out. It’s too large for him to pick up, so he hasn’t been able to destroy it.
  5. We bought a Radley customizable sectional from Macy’s. They have several styles. Some of the fabrics are in stock and others are special order. The last photo shows all of the available pieces: https://www.macys.com/shop/product/radley-5-piece-fabric-chaise-sectional-sofa-created-for-macys?ID=1101386
  6. Have you considered creating a photo book instead? It may turn out to be less expensive than purchasing albums and prints. I’ve used Mixbook before. You just upload the photos, pick a layout, and click auto fill. The last time I did this, I got the book ready to go, then waited to order with their 50% off Black Friday coupon.
  7. Bar Keepers Friend (powdered) works great. I make it into a paste and gently scrub it into the grout lines with a brush, let it sit a while, and then rinse. If you can’t get the results you want, you could try a product like Mapei Grout Refresh.
  8. My son’s camp started on a Sunday and I was concerned about the turn around too. They required a negative PCR, but they would also accept NAAT tests. I only found this out after asking where they recommended getting tested. Walgreens offers the rapid NAAT test, with results in 1-2 hours (self-swab nostrils in the drive through). Insurance covered it.
  9. I just went through this myself after having a color HP laser that no longer liked the generic toners. I feel your pain! I ended up buying two printers: Brother HL-L6200DW USB, Wireless, Network Ready Black & White Laser Printer ~$300 (256MB memory, 30,000 page drum, fast duplex printing, and the paper tray holds an entire ream!) Canon PIXMA G5020 MegaTank ~$250 (it came with large bottles of ink - THREE black and one of each color. I’ve only had it a week, but I think the ink will last a long time. Cheap refills.) They were both in stock at Staples.
  10. AirPod Pros (silicone tips) fit in my tiny ears. Regular AirPods do not.
  11. My son wears hospital issued surgical masks during his MRIs. They do have some type of metal nosepiece. Unfortunately, Happy Masks aren’t MRI compatible.
  12. I'm so sorry to hear this! I will be praying for your son and family. I sent you a PM
  13. We have five sit on tops of the same brand/model, so they stack neatly. We use a truck bed extender like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BXZ4UOM/ref=dp_cerb_2
  14. I use 8”-9” soaker drip line in my raised beds. https://www.dripworks.com/soaker-dripline-9-spacing For a 3 ft bed, I would run 4 lines.
  15. My teen (17) has started a Minecraft Bedrock Edition Realm and would love to find some new members! This is for advanced players. He would like to play with a group on a regular basis. If your teen is interested, please send me a private message and I will send you his discord info.
  16. Duck Easy Liner is terrible! And expensive! I spent $200 on shelf liner a few months ago and now it is all bunched up in the drawers. It's okay under plates and bowls and so-so under drinking glasses. You definitely cannot slide things on it without it shifting. A similar product I used 10 years ago was wonderful, so I'm not sure why this was so disappointing.
  17. Cobra has a 60 day retroactive period to make the premium payment. I believe we had to elect to accept coverage, but we did not pay immediately. Instead, I put the payment in an envelope on the fridge. I instructed my mom to mail off the check should we end up in the hospital. We ended up not needing to use the insurance over that two month time period and were able to save thousands of dollars on premiums. This was incredibly helpful during a time when no income was coming in! If it turns out your unemployment lasts longer than 60 days, you would have to make those back payments in order to continue coverage. This was several years ago, so you may want to double check to be sure that this is still how it works.
  18. You can scan right in the notes app on the iPhone. Open a new note and click on the camera icon to select the scan option. It works great.
  19. Superfine #0000 steel wool works wonders. Moisten and rub. Rinse steel wool off frequently. Do a small spot first to be sure it doesn’t etch your door. I tried this as a last resort when getting my house ready to sell. It worked great and I now use this in my new home. It will also remove soap scum and hard water spots off tiles and fixtures.
  20. How about Christmas crackers? They are pretty simple to make. You can include the traditional paper hat and joke for everyone and then personalize the trinket. Everyone would get a cohesive experience, but you wouldn’t have to think of a gift idea that works for all. You could do something like nail polish/chapstick/makeup for the ladies, hair clips/necklaces for the little girls, matchbox car/action figure for little boys, keychain bottle opener or flashlight/pocket knife for the men, etc.
  21. My sympathies go out to you. Does he know how to play Simon Says? Playing Simon Says was my secret weapon when using public restrooms with little kids. I was able to control their movements, prevent them from peeking under stalls and unlocking the door. (Also helpful for privacy, “SS, close your eyes” lol) I probably sounded like a crazy lady in the restroom stall, but it was effective. Obviously wouldn’t work before surgery, but in other public situations would giving him a lollipop, or something he *could* lick help? I have even seem some with calming ingredients such as chamomile. When my kids have had surgery, they have been given some medicine upon intake or before the IV was inserted to help calm them. Perhaps you could request this? Surgery day is always difficult — little tummies are hungry, mommies are stressed, and behaviors are amplified.
  22. Check out guidestar.org — make a free account and then search “Highland games” or some variant. There are a bunch of similar organizations. You can view their 990 tax documents. There you will find their organization type as well as their mission statement. In my experience, most festival type organizations are 501(c)3.
