  1. I'm so sorry to hear this! I will be praying for your son and family. I sent you a PM
  2. We have five sit on tops of the same brand/model, so they stack neatly. We use a truck bed extender like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BXZ4UOM/ref=dp_cerb_2
  3. I use 8”-9” soaker drip line in my raised beds. https://www.dripworks.com/soaker-dripline-9-spacing For a 3 ft bed, I would run 4 lines.
  4. My teen (17) has started a Minecraft Bedrock Edition Realm and would love to find some new members! This is for advanced players. He would like to play with a group on a regular basis. If your teen is interested, please send me a private message and I will send you his discord info.
  5. Duck Easy Liner is terrible! And expensive! I spent $200 on shelf liner a few months ago and now it is all bunched up in the drawers. It's okay under plates and bowls and so-so under drinking glasses. You definitely cannot slide things on it without it shifting. A similar product I used 10 years ago was wonderful, so I'm not sure why this was so disappointing.
  6. Cobra has a 60 day retroactive period to make the premium payment. I believe we had to elect to accept coverage, but we did not pay immediately. Instead, I put the payment in an envelope on the fridge. I instructed my mom to mail off the check should we end up in the hospital. We ended up not needing to use the insurance over that two month time period and were able to save thousands of dollars on premiums. This was incredibly helpful during a time when no income was coming in! If it turns out your unemployment lasts longer than 60 days, you would have to make those back payments in order
  7. You can scan right in the notes app on the iPhone. Open a new note and click on the camera icon to select the scan option. It works great.
  8. Superfine #0000 steel wool works wonders. Moisten and rub. Rinse steel wool off frequently. Do a small spot first to be sure it doesn’t etch your door. I tried this as a last resort when getting my house ready to sell. It worked great and I now use this in my new home. It will also remove soap scum and hard water spots off tiles and fixtures.
  9. How about Christmas crackers? They are pretty simple to make. You can include the traditional paper hat and joke for everyone and then personalize the trinket. Everyone would get a cohesive experience, but you wouldn’t have to think of a gift idea that works for all. You could do something like nail polish/chapstick/makeup for the ladies, hair clips/necklaces for the little girls, matchbox car/action figure for little boys, keychain bottle opener or flashlight/pocket knife for the men, etc.
  10. My sympathies go out to you. Does he know how to play Simon Says? Playing Simon Says was my secret weapon when using public restrooms with little kids. I was able to control their movements, prevent them from peeking under stalls and unlocking the door. (Also helpful for privacy, “SS, close your eyes” lol) I probably sounded like a crazy lady in the restroom stall, but it was effective. Obviously wouldn’t work before surgery, but in other public situations would giving him a lollipop, or something he *could* lick help? I have even seem some with calming ingredients such as chamom
  11. Check out guidestar.org — make a free account and then search “Highland games” or some variant. There are a bunch of similar organizations. You can view their 990 tax documents. There you will find their organization type as well as their mission statement. In my experience, most festival type organizations are 501(c)3.
  12. Do you have a little free library near you? You could drop off a book he has read and pick out a new one. It’s so sweet of you to do this for your husband. It’s always easiest to give up the extra work and thoughtfulness in stressful times, but is when it is needed the most!
  13. My son is the same height and 10 pounds lighter. Dickies flat front slim khakis size 18 fit. I think they have an adjustable waistband. Amazon carries them with free returns.
  14. I saw a parrot in Target the other day. Not perched on a shoulder or even on the shopping cart handle. Nope, it was chilling in the seat of the cart.
  15. Maybe a crossbody phone case would work for you: https://www.bandolierstyle.com/shop/shop-all.html

  17. If you want to go the passive aggressive route, perhaps you can have a discussion with a extroverted friend ahead of time. At the designated party end time, she could loudly announce her exit, do a round of hugs and “good-byes†and “it’s-getting-so-lates.†Maybe it will cause people to glance at the time and follow her out the door. Or maybe not. In my experiences, most people leave parties after the first person makes their way out. But, there are always people that overstay.

  19. Just be sure not to buy one with a vent on the top. Mine vents right under the counter. It's ruined the wood finish and is susceptible to mold growth under the countertop.
  20. If I want to use standard shipping, I always add a cheap non-book item (like a ruler or pencil) to my order so they can't ship it media mail.
  21. Activated charcoal capsules work really well if taken with a meal preemptively or at the first sign of stomach distress. https://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Activated-Charcoal-Capsules/dp/B0006LCQ4Q/
  22. All of my perfect sheets got threadbare within a few weeks of each other. That's what I get for evenly rotating through them! I decided I should add a new set into the rotation every few years so they don't all wear out at the same time. I just bought these sheets: http://m.jcpenney.com/liz-claiborne-300tc-liquid-cotton-sheet-set/prod.jump?ppId=ens6003850039 They are nice enough after one wash that I ordered a second set. They will be perfect after a couple years. :)
  23. Look up the right to timely care laws in your state. My son had a specialist referral scheduled 9 months out. As soon as I stated my rights, I had an appointment within three days.
