    My "baby" turns 21 today - all adult "kids". Time sure flies. Hubby and I were reminiscing with Time in a Bottle ringing through our heads. We've had an awesome parenting time together. I just wish we could relive some of it...

    Why can't high school biology be enjoyable and not quite so technical?

      I think bio is up for a split. It IS fun but it's one field in which knowledge is really growing rapidly. Micro & genetics really need their own course imo, even at the hs level.

    My dd moved to her new place in NC with our outdoor cat. DD and cat are happy. The cat has transitioned to being indoors with not problems. :)

    My Daisy (malamute x gsd) is not well. Current contenders are a mini stroke or a splenic bleed. Xray non conclusive other than "that's kinda weird". Bloods won't be back till tomorrow. :( Girly is not well at all :(

      thx everyone. She's still with us but pretty flat. It's possible this is just fatigue from the hemorrhage and she might still bounce back a bit but also possible that she won't.... We're snuggling & will be making popcorn to share while watching the olympic opening ceremony. One of her favourite things is snuggling and watching tv together.

      blood work is consistent with hemorrhage so it's not good news. She's perked up a bit but there's no good ending for this, just the timing and the method are left now.

    Well, we are flooded in. I was a mile and a half away at an appointment when a tornado hit my old neighborhood. Fun times. My family is safe for now.
