Several years ago I stopped watching TV news. They are hysterical about every. little. thing. Now whenever I am exposed, I feel my stress and anxiety rising.

We just made an offer on a house with a sunroom. I am hoping they will agree to leave their wicker furniture since I have nothing appropriate. We do plan to set up our hammock in the sunroom too.

You can also consider a DO. They are medical doctors who are also trained in Chiropractic manipulation. Like anything else, there are good and bad chiropractors. They have a tendency to delve into areas outside their expertise. I am pretty trusting of things they tell me about my spine, neck, and possible treatments. I am much more skeptical of what they say about nutrition, vaccination, supplements, RX meds, etc.

You've been given lots of good suggestions. I will add, stop stressing about being "behind." At the elementary level, the only thing you need to do is consistently work on school. You don't need to finish any particular book, even math, or follow what you had originally planned for the year. Your students will not be worse off academically because of a few days of stomach bug, even if you just cut three days off the end of your schedule and never try to "catch up." One of the great things about homeschooling is you don't have to worry about getting behind. If you need a break, for illness or another reason, you just stop and the work waits for you to come back. ETA: I plan about 140 days of regular lessons each year. That allows about one day a week to be for illness, field trips, outside classes, etc. I find this to be more realistic than planning 180 days of regular lessons like some curricula present as a year of work.

My grandparents are nearing 90, but are in pretty good health. They diagnosed my Grandpa with some kind of cancer and gave him 6 months to a year, but the treatments worked better than expected and now he is in remission. They still live in their home and drive, and their daughter and son-in-law live in the same neighborhood and check in regularly. My other grandfather is in pretty good health for his 90 years and is currently living on a rotating basis with various of his several children. Dh's grandparents are all gone. Dh's dad is in his early '70s and in poor health. His mom is younger and retiring this year. I anticipate that she will care for dad until she cannot handle the physical work and then he will move to a facility. I wish that they would move now to a multilevel care retirement community, but those are hard to find without a move. FIL is stubborn, so I am expecting a crisis at some point. My parents are early 60's, still working, and seem younger than their ages. I imagine they will be like their parents, having no issues into their '80s.

This news is shocking to me. My DH is an Eagle Scout, but we have all girls so his idea that he might be a leader was dashed. Now we'll have to investigate this option.

My third grader needs me at her side for math. We typically do two pages of math, every other problem. Your question is kind of like, "How long should it take to cook dinner?" The answer depends on many factors, not the least of which is the complexity. More complex math may take much longer.

I used to think I would make my kids stop at 7th grade, but my oldest loves it so much I am letting her continue even though she is 8th grade this year. She plans her costume way in advance. My kids ranking of holidays: #1 Christmas 2# Halloween.

We plan to retire at SS retirement age, which I think for us is 67. It's a long way off though, as we're 39. We were brilliant youngsters and started retirement contributions at 25, so we should be in good shape when we get there.

Congrats! Yay, a baby! It can definitely start earlier in subsequent pregnancies. With my third, I monitored occasionally from the beginning and had my first high readings about 12 weeks I think. Do you have a meter from last time? If so just buy some new strips. They are available OTC. Or you can call and request that your doctor call in an RX.

I think it is a good idea to visit an allergist even if with the doctor you decide against allergy testing. Also, if testing is necessary, don't go with the standard panel. Talk to the doc about testing as few things as possible to get the information you need.

I had the same experience. We had always talked about 4, but immediately after #3's birth, I was smacked with the impression, "Nobody's missing anymore." I was shocked. I genuinely wanted a 4th baby up until the moment the 3rd was born. DH was disappointed, but now we are starting to taste the freedom of older kids and he is appreciating it. ETA: My mom never felt done. She stopped at 4 because of limited resources. Larger cars and houses were not affordable. But her baby longing never really went away, at least not until menopause and grandchildren. Some people never reach the point where they feel done.

I don't know about travelocity, but I do not recommend expedia. I had a terrible experience with them this past April. The car they tried to give us was completely inappropriate and they and the company would do nothing to fix it. I ended up with a same day (read expensive) car from a different car company for less than they were trying to charge us. I've had lots of good experiences booking directly with rental companies.

I am pleased so far. This school year is going well. I am using level 2 with my 3rd grader, level 4 with my 6th grader, and level 7 with my 8th grader. The kids are really liking it and it seems appropriate for each kid. We started our school year July 24th.

We and our family members have flown with them several times on the same TN to FL route without problems. We don't pay the fees that they offer. We check one suitcase and bring backpacks for everyone's personal item. We don't pay to pick seats or any of the other convenience fees. They seated us together. Even with the cost of a rental car, its comparable in cost to driving. The only issue I have with Allegient is I wish they flew other places I go.

I also keep nothing. My state requires only that I follow the instructions of my umbrella school. I turn in attendance and grades to them and there is nothing physical I need to keep. I plan to keep more for high school.

I don't know where people live who don't get tickets when the cop doesn't show, but that has not been my experience in TN. You absolutely either have to prove your innocence or plead for mercy from the judge.
