  1. We also just started PAL and we are loving it so much! I think I'm enjoying it as much as my dd!
  2. We used both Confessions of a Homeschooler (http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/letter-of-the-week) and Tot School that was linked above! My girls loved it!
  3. You can also get them online if you don't have an iPad. http://etc.usf.edu/lit2go/books/
  4. You guys probably know about this but I just discovered it and was so excited! Download the ITunes University app. Once you get in there click on Universities and find the University of South Florida. Click on Catergories, then click Literature. You can then listen to all their audio books including many of the classics! (Beatrix Potter, Peter Pan, all the Fairy books by Andrew Lang, Tom Sawyer, Alice in Wonderland, etc). :auto:
  5. That happens to me all the time too! Thanks so much for all the great books! I now have a very long list! :)
  6. I am starting Kindergarten with my daughter soon. I thought about doing sonlight or something similar so that i would have a reading schedule but I think instead I'd just like to get a great list of classic read alouds that I can read throughout the year- kind of an intro to the great books. Any good recommendations for this age? She has a very good attention span. Loves all things girly ( mermaids, fairies, unicorns, etc) however i'd also like to expose her to new interests! Thanks!
  7. I think we are about ready for our official Kindergarten year! I am doing Primary Arts of Language by IEW for reading and writing. That program includes AAS 1. So excited to start! Also doing MEP reception for math ( maybe with Singapore workbooks as well) Doing some FIAR with her as well and starting some great read alouds. (any recommendations on great classics to start with?) For bible I think we are doing Bible Study Guide for All Ages. That's it I think! So ready to start!
  8. Not nuts at all! My DD is the same way! She thrives on doing "school" so that's what we do! Great list of stuff!
  9. It sounds like your child is completely ready for AAR to me. We started with my dd when she was 3 and it was fine... I think I actually should/could have started when she was a little younger (like just turned 3) It starts with uppercase letters and lots of phonemic awareness. Then it moves into lowercase letters and then officially into sounds. They also do lots of syllables, rhyming, and other fun stuff. My dd LOVES it!
  10. I have seen people make there own nail activity board.. I think they used a piece of styrofoam, golf tees, and a hammer. I know my little one would love that!
