...what kind of pants do you wear, and where do you find them?
I still have a mommy belly even though I haven't had a baby in quite a while. Before I had the first kid, I wore I size 12. Before the second one, I wore a 14. Now a 14 fits my hips, but I can't zip them up. A 16 fits around my waist, but droops in the back and sides and looks so sloppy.
During the summer I wear comfy and cute knit skirts, but fall is coming and at some point I'll need some pants. Help!
My 2nd grader loves the "You Wouldn't Want to Be..." books, Captain Underpants, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Tintin, Asterix, anything by Rick Riordan or about mythology in general, graphic novels of all sorts, and Popular Science magazine.
Loved the 1st episode of Broadchurch! And I agree that they should stop making American versions of great British shows. I submit Top Gear as an example of why that's not a good idea.
I used to pay all the bills back in the olden days when you had to pay everything by check. I hated it so much. One year he asked what I wanted for my birthday and I asked him to do the monthly bills. He didn't mind so now it's his job. We do almost everything automatically now but he is the one who coordinates and checks in on cash flow. I just make it and spend it :).
I'm reading WEM and planning future reading based on the WEM/WTM book lists. I'm thinking of reading chronologically using History of the Medieval World as a spine. I'm hoping to start this summer, and figure it will take me years and years to complete. It's my own personal quest, and it's currently occupying all my spare brain capacity :).
If you're getting Castle Diary, make sure to get the larger hardback with the full-color illustrations. The tiny cheap paperback has little black-and-white illustrations. If RR doesn't have the one with color illustrations, you can order it used or new from the UK on Amazon.
We started when my son was 5. He loved SOTW1 then and now, at 6, he loves SOTW2. I read each chapter aloud, and we find the area being discussed on the globe. Once I've finished reading, he usually runs off to draw a picture or build a Lego model of whatever we were reading about. He's a huge history buff though, so YMMV.
