    On a recent soup thread I said we Floridians must take advantage of rare soup weather.This weekend is one of those times. All meal plans are out the window as I plan soups or stews for the next 2-3 days. By mid-week we'll be back up to the 80's.

    I underestimate my kids a lot. The 6 year old learned to sew and completed part of a costume and a stuffed bunny tonight. I think he was a surprised as I was.

    So the doctor called in a bottle of antibiotic that cost $170 for Grace. Yeah, that's not happening. Not sure what to do now. Can I call the doctor's office tomorrow and say, "Apparently you read the last name on her chart wrong. It's not Walton, Hilton, Trump, or Gates. We need poor folk antibiotics."

      You totally can, BTW. You can even ask if one of the $4 or $10 abx that Walmart or Target carry would work. If not, ask if they have samples. DH is a physician and does this all the time. He usually asks ahead of time if he knows it's really expensive.

    The quest for the perfect gluten free chicken nugget continues...round 2 in the skillet right now.

      We make great ones using almond flour mixed w/kosher salt, onion powder and garlic powder. Take the chicken tenders, dip in egg wash, then the almond flour mixture. Cook in a skillet with some olive oil. Yum. :)
