  1. On the hike today, dh passed the arrow sign that said "trailhead" and said, w"hat does that make the other side?" Dd15 said "the trailbutt!" And of course in the middle you have to travel the winding entrails. :ack2:
  2. I don't know how to respond to this. Too many feels. It's hard being an ITT Auntie. #thestruggleisreal
  3. Imma go to church with Angi tomorrow. 'Cuz yummy food. She always has the yummies!
  4. âš¡ï¸âš¡ï¸âš¡ï¸ Jean has The POWER!! âš¡ï¸âš¡ï¸âš¡ï¸
  5. No, but I should let them out when it is running and see what happens. They will probably just run downstairs or hide in their pen. The Neato is the only one to my knowledge that does it. A workout mat is probably OK unless it has fringe. Will a regular vacuum go over it ok? The bottles are sadly exposed for all to see. Kind of like an under-the-cabinet radio thing. But it's better than having them sitting on the counter waiting to be knocked over. (We only have a bottle or two at a time because dh is the only one who drinks wine.) That's a great idea! :D
  6. I was very pleased last night that he was working hard on the floors so I could focus on cooking dinner. The Pakistani Kima was tasty! I am still working out the kinks. I would have preferred to get a Neato d80 botvac, but they are so expensive. The Neato actually scans a room and "remembers" a logical pattern of vacuuming the rooms. The Dibea works like most of them in that they go kinda random all over the place and hopefully hit all the places before they run out of battery. So far, if we let Wally go for his whole battery life (over 2 hours), he does indeed seem to hit pretty much everywhere he's allowed - living room, dining room, kitchen. Might be about 600 square feet. He goes from hardwood to area rugs/door mats and over the bump into the kitchen without any trouble. He WILL get stuck on the foot of a Manhassett music stand, and sometimes he seems to obsess over one area because he runs into something and ends up right back where he has already been over 3 times. So I pick him up and put him in another place. I think the main solution to that is to change where his charging station is so he doesn't start and continually get stuck under the kitchen table. Once he got a small pencil stuck in the brush and he turned himself off. When the battery gets low or we hit the "home" button on the remote, he turns off the brushes and finds his way back to the charging station. He is surprisingly quiet. He has a hepa filter and is super easy to empty of dust. I think I like him well enough that I will eventually get the mopping accessory that is available. Not that our floors are getting so clean, I can see that we really need more mopping. :D
  7. This is Wally - a Dibea D960. He was on a lightning deal a couple weeks ago. https://smile.amazon.com/Dibea-Cleaner-Self-Charging-Cleaning-Technology/dp/B075QFLX72/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1517690371&sr=8-2&keywords=dibea+d960 (((Slache)))
  8. Oh stink!! Glad you have a bit of heat working, at least.
  9. I have finished my tidying projects and put all the things away and found homes for other things and threw out a whole bunch and dusted the floor. (Wally is not yet allowed in this room.) I also ate some applesauce and put shower curtains in the laundry. Dh has installed our new fancy curved shower rod that I got (from Aldi) about 6 months ago. Now he is installing the under-the-cabinet wine holder, also purchased 6 months ago. Go dh, go! :D Now I need to have more coffee and read Til We Have Faces and maybe have popcorn for lunch. Dh wants to go on a hike.
  10. Oh yeah. We don't tell my in-laws anything until it's done. We wouldn't even tell them the names of our kids until the birth certificate papers were signed.
  11. I put away one thing from the messy corner and managed to get sidetracked by 4 other projects and y'all. Stop being so fascinating!
  12. When he can come up with some crazy family project for her to participate in. Like painting the house. Or having a yard sale. Or going to the farmer's market. Or scrubbing/repairing the back deck. Church is also good.
  13. Perhaps the ENB needs to come over and do some 'splainin' to your furnace. It is February and There are Rules. :glare:
  14. I like to listen to the news while doing stuff - chores, laundry, etc. When I was in college I started setting my alarm to play NPR morning news and I think their calm voices helped me wake up better than anything else. Sleeping sleeping is someone talking what are they saying dow jones is up opec is meeting oh look it's morning. News doesn't give me anxiety or worry though. Dh avoids news and only checks it on weekends because it tends to stress him out. Strangely enough, we rarely listen to music unless it's something we specifically want or need to hear (or are playing it ourselves).
  15. Good morning! Woke up with a headache and cramps. Stuffy sinuses, puffy face, sore legs. Thirsty! :glare: Water! Coffee!
  16. In case you need something to lighten your spirits. They make me laugh until I cry. Especially the NFL and inauguration ones. https://m.youtube.com/user/BadLipReading/videos?shelf_id=2&sort=p&view=0 Reported!
  17. First call is to JJM and extreme firepower. There is a hotline listed on the sight that you can call during business hours and that might help. Maybe. Dh said that usually if he went through the process to reset his password, he could get in. Are you still on your phone? I don't think that should matter, but we are talking about fafsa, so you never know. I also remember having issues with needing to have all different email addresses for all involved parties, and possibly different parent emails for each student? That's probably not an issue for you (yet). (((Jean))) I am sending them my most potent Laser Glare of Certain Impending Death.
  18. I have wondered this too. A lady at church told me Judaism, but it just didn't seem likely.
