I'm sorry. :grouphug: I don't understand why family has to be so difficult. Money issues just make everything a heck of a lot worse too.

Does your dh come right out and say that? Does he say that he is socially inept and he needs to be forced out of his shell? Or as a fellow introvert are you feeling panicky for your son? I am torn on this one. I bet your dh only wants whats best for your son just like you do. Sometimes our dh's see stuff in our kids (especially boys, ya know, cause they are one ;)) that we may not. Maybe your dh is concerned for his future. All that said, I wouldn't like it if dh up an decided that one of our kids needed to go to school. I actually don't have to worry about that because dh is more HS gung-ho than I am! Is there anything that your son likes to do outside of the home that you can encourage him to get more involved in?

Netflix and/or hulu plus. If you paid for a month or 2 of streaming it would only be a little over $8 a month for each one.

A few days ago I needed to break a $20 bill and my 7yo had a ten, a five and five ones. I asked if I could give him my twenty for his money. Half way through the day he came to me all upset. He liked having more money and now that I took his 10, 5 and ones he didn't feel like he had as much. I explained it was the same amount just different denominations. He knew it but was upset. I told DH about it that evening and hadn't given it much more thought. DH came home from work today with 20 $1 bills. DS was thrilled!! :D

I wonder too. It's interesting to me, because when the weather first started getting really nice I loved it. Then I got into a big funk.

I guess I can't understand how you are even taking what these parents say seriously. These are the parents you have complained about repeatedly. Giving their infants pepsi etc. and yet you are trusting the words coming out of their mouths about what the Dr.'s have said to them? :confused:

I think I saw a previous thread where you and a few others talked about this. I do want to get it checked. Just have to make the time to do it. I just have heard soooo many people come out and talk about their horrible depression lately and wonder if there is some connection with the weather. Could just be a coincidence but I thought it was interesting that it is coinciding with this bizarre weather.

I'm starting to wonder if there is a link between this unseasonably warm weather and depression. At face value you would think that this early springlike weather would lift people's spirits. I have heard of soooo many people that are struggling with extreme depression. I too have been more depressed lately than normal. I am wondering if our bodies weren't prepared for such a drastic weather change. Or maybe mentally not prepared. Just musing here but, what do you all think?

If it had not been a relative, most likely Patrick would have been arrested. Scott never put his hands on Nakia. It sucks that he screamed FU at her. Really it is no different then her yelling shut up at him. Patrick took it to a whole new level.

Oh, you are not alone in feeling that way about California. ;) I am not saying that America isn't the only place that one can live a happy fulfilled life. IMO, the way Aelywd (forget how to spell it!) feels about the US is close, if not totally, hate. One has to STRONGLY dislike their country to want to give up citizenship, and go to the lengths she and her family are going to to remove themselves completely from this country. FTR, it is fine that she dislikes or hates the US. I would hope all citizens that feel as strongly as she does leave the country.

While I am almost 100% positive that you an I are on opposite sides of the sectrum on our political beliefs, I find it refreshing that you are putting your money where your mouth is. I do wonder though, there would need to be a certain kind of hate for a country, to go to the lengths that you all are to get out.

Well, I guess I have to admire you then. ;) Since you hate being a citizen of the United States so much, at least you are actively trying to get out. Wish more people would do that!
