  1. We are started SOTW this fall. As one of the support texts it lists the Kingfisher Illustrated Encyclopedia. This appears to be out of print...on Amazon it is $83!! How important is this book? Especially since I have located the other 3. My girls are entering 1st. Thanks!
  2. We are starting SOTW Ancients this fall and I am looking at the Cross -References. It seems that one listed is out of print and is now rather pricy. Can anyone share with me how important the Kingfisher Illustrated History of the World is and how it compares to the Kingfisher History Encyclopedia. My girls are in 1st grade, so we will again. Thanks
  3. We use MUS and my son is in 1st. I like it, it is working for us. I just add in more flash cards/math facts as well as informal telling time etc. We all fret about what math to use. I had to stop doing that and go with a program and commit to it. I am weak in Mth so I wanted to make sure I had something I felt comfortable with as well. I like how it is all spelled out!
  4. We are considering a move to Mexico...how did you find home schooling there? What part are you in? Were there any support groups? Guidelines? Any information you can provide I'd appreciate. Thanks, Dana dakersfamily@msn.com
  5. Does anyone have an alignment of SOTW with the CC cycles? Or what do you do? My son will start 1st grade in the fall home schooled and we plan on doing SOTW and CC. Should I just keep his memorization for CC separate and start SOTW with the ancients, even though he will do memory work in cycle 3. Any advice/comments appreciated. Or if anyone has an alignment of the two. Thanks! :001_smile:
