What brand of coffee do you drink?
Sena replied to Sena's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Thank you for all your responses.:) You have all given me so many brands to look into! I wouldn't even know where to find beans to roast myself! Hmmmm, I'm going to have to look into that. How do you roast the beans? A friend of mine is opening a coffee shop in a couple weeks and she met with a barista today for a full day of one on one training. I'm sooo jealous! I'm hoping she'll share her new knowledge with me! -
I saw on HGTV you can also use large safety pins instead of clips.

How old were you when you started getting gray hair?...
Sena replied to Tammy's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Unfortunatly, at 33, I have lots of gray hair. I started graying in my mid-twenties. Like many of you highlighting took care of it for a long time, but now I do a second all over color. I'm just not ready to be gray yet! On that note, I saw a lady with beautiful gray-silver hair cut in a classy bob- it looked great! I like to think I will do that one day, just not yet! -
How do you clean your wood floors?
Sena replied to tnmomofboys's topic in General Education Discussion Board
We are good friends with a family that owns a hardwood flooring company. They've installed new floors and refinished existing floors for us and they've always recommended to us water and vinegar. I would think that would be safe, but you could always check with the manufacturer. -
I make my yogurt a little different. For step 3. I add 1/2 cup of yogurt to the milk, whisk it in for 2 min. I then fill my canning jars up and put them in an oven that has been preheated to 200 and then turned off. I leave them in for 6-12 hours, depending on when I get around to getting them out. We also use raw milk. My SIL tried this with store bought whole milk and it didn't work. Has anyone had success with store bought milk?

I love my Bunn coffee maker! I know they are pricey, but we were going through a coffee maker every 5 months or so. This one brews a full pot of coffee in 3 min. It comes with a deliming tool which was important to us because our water is so hard (actually this is probably why we were needing new coffee makers so often.) They have models with thermal carafes too which would help with your breaking issue. Here's a link to mine: http://www.amazon.com/NHBX-B-Contemporary-10-Cup-Coffee-Brewer/dp/B000FFQ4TG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1211389611&sr=8-1

We buy a brand called Stewarts. Prices have recently gone up more than $2 for a 23oz can, so it's now over $9/can. So what are you all drinking and what are you paying?

Coffee, tea, or both?
Sena replied to Part-Time Homeschooler's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Every morning I drink hot, strong coffee with half & half. Often in the afternoon when my husband gets home from work we'll sit down and have another cup of coffee. I enjoy a cup of black tea now and then, I do put sugar or honey in that. Hmmm, I think I'm in need of a refill now:001_smile: -
Who's Blog do you like and why...
Sena replied to Ohio12's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I second The Pioneer Woman. A friend introduced me to her after I inherited my brother's old Nikon D70. I just drool over her photography. -
Please, Please, pray for my friend...
Sena replied to Lisa at Home's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Lisa, I am so sorry. I will be praying for Wendy and the precious children. -
We use Steck-Vaughn's Maps, Globes, Graphs workbooks with Calvert. A second grade book would be level B. I think you may be able to find one on Amazon. This summer I'm planning on going through the Beautiful Feet Geography Guide with them. It uses Holling C. Holling books. HTH

what is your main bathroom decor?
Sena replied to lynn's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I have a friend with a pink and gray bathroom. Not that I'm stuck on the white thing, but she put all white towels and a plain white shower curtain it looked great, it definetly downplayed the pink tub, the pink toilet, and the pink tile! It's amazing what you can make work. -
Mothers of girls I have a hair question.
Sena replied to lynn's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I say she's being independant. My daughter used to be quite opiniated about her hair too. We kept hers bobbed off above her shoulders until the last year, now it is a little longer and she's much more agreeable about letting me fix it. I loved the bob too, she could literally roll out of bed looking great and the compliments she'd get! -
what is your main bathroom decor?
Sena replied to lynn's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I don't think you are nuts, go with what makes you happy. We redid our 1/2 bath on our main floor a couple years ago. I decided to do it in all white with a black mirror and brushed nickle accents. It is so crisp and simple I love it. We haven't done much to our other two bathrooms, they are upstairs and we're the only ones who use them. The kids have green tile and a world map shower curtain. My bath is yellow tile - blah. I have a friend who is an interior designer, she came in and drew up plans for some drapes for my master bedroom and we did a shower curtain out of the same material. It did pull everything together, but I still dream of the day we can redo the whole bathroom. -
I'm 33 and happy with my age.
