  1. Trying another bump. Just would love to find this as a whole series and save money.
  2. I am looking to buy the whole series or a lot of anyway of the Tale of Series by Arthur Scott Bailey. ex Tale of Granfather Mole, and many many more titles. I would love the hardcover additions. They are on Amazon and chapters but they want $25 for each titles and then have to find all the titles. Does somewhere carry the series, even if it is paperback, to make one easy purchase. Then there is the series of Amoung the Pond people, Amoung the Forest People, ect. many in this set too. Just looking for a bulk savings. Would love hardback if possible. These are great books that were written with great English way back when things were not dumbed down. And they learn sciene at the same time. I know you can get them on the kindle, but would love them for my shelf. One of my children prefers the book to the kindle. And I want to encourage him to ready. Thanks mama of 10 beautiful children.
  3. Bumping up, since I need to call them today. They sent my Deluxe set and were suppose to send an extra student pack and instead sent a spelling student pack. Not sure why they would do that. lol But seeing if when I phone them, it is worth getting the extra pack, or just leave it and get a credit. :O) Thanks
  4. Yes, it is all you need. There is a lot of work in it. But he is such a good teacher that even though it is intensive in what you cover, you learn it.
  5. Just bumping to see if my siggy shows up that I just entered. :O)
  6. When did you little one turn 3? My little one will be 3 in the beginning of June. Hey neat, my name is Shannon too. I do not see many Shannon's anymore. :O)
  7. And if so are they getting it? My 2.5 year old does know a lot of his sounds and does reconize the letters because of watching Leap Frog ABC's DVD. Love that video, it has helped our children so much and we are not TV people. :O)
  8. We are using it for a phonics program with our 6 and 7 year old. They love it. I guess because it also focuses on spelling it can slow them down more than if they were using it just as reading, but I am finding we are still moving fast enough. And if you did not focus on the spelling part of it at all but just the rules and such you could move faster through it. I am not worried about it though. It is working wonderfully. They do have a reading program coming out following right along with each level of spelling. In the long run you may not need both. Though because I am just going to have to see it I will probably order it. Though it will be for the next children underneath as our 6 and 7 year old will progress faster through the AAS than the AAR is going to be coming out. :O)
  9. Just wanted to bump this up and get more responses, since I know there are a lot of AAS users on here. :) Also was wondering if there are any of you that NEVER use the CD ROM and it still works great? Also does she direct you when, to use the CD ROM and also what spot to go too? Thanks
  10. I just phoned as well, and was able to cancel the multiplication/division cards. So that is good. Of course I made sure that they knew I did still want the addition/subtraction ones. She was surprised that the muliti/divis ones were not coded as well. It really is to bad they were not.
  11. Yes, I too just ordered them. I had another mom said they were esential, she started with her own as well since she had them, but then bought the ones that go with because they are tabbed or numbers and so very easy to put along with the lessons. :O) So yes, get the addition/subtraction ones. I wish the multiplication ones where too, I just assumed they were as I just placed an order for level 400 math too. So I bought them. If I had know i would have just left them as I have very good one here.
  12. Oh and one more thing, in talking to the aas rep., he mentioned that level 7 will be the roots, Latin and Greek, now that has me excited because I could drop vocabulary vine, since the kids do not really enjoy it anyhow. I think roots will help with spelling and reading but just can't seem to get into it with the 2 programs I have tried. So level 7 should be fun.
  13. I was also going to ask, that in doing this course you all feel your children's spelling and ALSO reading improved drastically, like leaps and bounds because of it. And you see it in their writing and that they are retaining it? It is going to be a hard 2 weeks waiting for it. My 7dd and 6ds are so excited and I told them they will be reading very good by summer because they should be through the first 2 levels. And the oldest 4 are even a bit exciting. And the youngest 3, well they will just keep making the tornado happen in the house as they color pages, cut them in a million pieces. Okay so the youngest does not use scissors but she is good at spreading the pieces everywhere and making sure she tries to pick up a pencil or two from the floor and walk around with a big grin on her face and make mommy cringe as I ask for them back.
