  1. That's too funny, MamaSheep. Congratulations
  2. bought an old oster at a thrift store ... best $5.00 I have ever spent:)
  3. I put mine in the fridge to solidify and then took it out. It has remained solid. I love it:)
  4. Google Crockpot 365 stephanie's blog has gf recipes for everything! We aren't GF, but I can see how that blog would make it so much easier.
  5. a zip line? I'm sure I've seen instructions online somewhere...
  6. I'll add to the list: Water Bubble Wrap Tape of any kind!
  7. we are dipping dried apricots in chocolate for gifts this year and putting them in christmas cupcake liners on a plate. Apricots-huge bag at Sam's $7.00; Girhardelli Chocolate to dip them in $7.00. Should make more than we need and they are quick to make, don't need lots of ingredients or mess up my kitchen.
  8. DD loves these books on a DVD sets from Scholastic. http://www.amazon.com/Scholastic-Storybook-Treasures-Treasury-Classics/dp/B003X2P9BM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322878217&sr=8-1We bought them at Sams. She also watches the Cedermont kids Christian music dvds. Full length films wise-we love the little einsteins big movie. http://www.amazon.com/Disneys-Little-Einsteins-Huge-Adventure/dp/B0007Z9R0C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322878255&sr=8-1
  9. cottage cheese with canned fruit lots of crockpot 365 meals love the whole chicken recipes, especially. foil packets or 'silver dollar' dinners. it's camping food, but i just make up beef or turkey patties and slice an onion, then we add whatever veggies are left in the fridge/freezer. We each make our own fold up the foil really well and bake. We eat them right out of the foil.
  10. DD is painting watercolor family portraits for each of our families. They are hillarious... we bought some of the nice almond bark Girhardelli's at Sams and bought pretzels and dried apricots to make up gift plates. Pretty cheap one big bar will make at least 15 plates up. I bought both chocolate and white chocolate.
  11. DH uses one. http://www.maxiaids.com/store/default.asp They are having a sale right now and free shipping too! My only tip is to buy the lowest power to do the job so that he'll have a broader field of view.
  12. I wouldn't go. I would politely decline. Be exceedingly busy, etc.
  13. I like my room to be the cleanest in my house. Right now it's not DD's is the neatest. None of them are clean right now....
  14. my all time favorite excavation activity is excavating chocolate chips from a chips ahoy cookie with a toothpick, tweezers, and a small brush. Yum!
  15. thank you ladies! I'm going to call the Hanna Andersson outlet:) That's a great idea! I'll also check at Old Navy/Justice. We have those here and I never go in there. I need tights that wear like pants! I can't afford to keep buying the cheap ones only to replace them. Thanks again!
  16. I may do that. I was hoping to get both at one place for one shipping cost, but that may be my best option. Those tights held up really well. Karen
  17. DD had them last winter. They were on her back, tummy and in her groin area. She only felt bad one day. We gave baking soda baths and put topical bendryl on the pox. It's the same virus so shingles exposure can result in chicken pox. On the bright side, your girls are very unlikely to get chicken pox as adults when it is more dangerous, and you homeschool, so you can just apply benedryl and carry on. I'm sorry you are going through this, though.
  18. DD wears a size 5-6 girls. Walmart/Target brand panties seem so poorly made. We have a few children's place/gap panties that I love. I just looked at Hanna Andersson they look nice too. We love LL Bean tights, but ours are too small. I hate to shop for clothes online because the way the fabric feels is so important. Help me out please super shoppers:)
  19. http://www.va.gov/opa/vetsday/ This video clip is good:)
  20. Bumping this up. I didn't find anything meaningful at our public library. Even a beatiful picture book about military service would be good. My niece is currently deployed to Afganistan. DD needs to hear about this in a gentle way. Thanks!
  21. We have an our generation cabinet. Love it! It holds lots of stuff! My MIL keeps the American Girl stuff at her house in a popcorn tin from Christmas. It's OK, but the girls dump it out to find things they need.
