  1. We have and do decline x-rays that often. It's more like 3 or more years between. Sometimes they make a bit of a fuss asking 'why' and telling me about the importance...again... Though I have no problem declining.
  2. I'd probably drag her along. It might turn out to be fun for her.
  3. You could always ask for a refund of some sort, though I'd be surprised if you received one being as you did end up staying. Document your stay and take photos or video. Then leaving a review online (facebook and travel sites) I would also emailing the company with the same review and comments.
  4. Now that Discovering Design with Science has been out a couple years. I'd like to know from those who have used the curriculum, text, labs, downloadable worksheets, etc. What did you like about it? How does it compare to Apologia 2nd ed? (if you've used it before) We currently have Apologia 2nd ed (and have used it). Though I'm considering purchasing his new one because it looks more exciting. ha. I've been going back and forth and they seem to be similar. The cost for Discovering Design is $147. This includes the labs & text book ($122.95), audio $19.99), answer key & tests book ($6.). The website had free downloads and links of all other info needed. Apologia 2nd ed we would need the labs ($44.99) and journal ($64.95 printed or $8.99 download). Opinions and thoughts? Thanks!

  6. Then I'd leave it at that. It's good he's able to deal with things early on and communicate his feelings. Just call it another life lesson. ;)
  7. Have you talked to your son about it? What does he think? Yes, many different social classes, boys always paid. I'm curious as my children are all single now, saying it's to expensive to date. Ha
  8. I'm so sorry this happened to you. ((Hugs)) I have been there before. Cried and cried about it. Then forced myself to face the facts, it would grow back and in the meantime find ways to deal with it. Now if I go, I always face the mirror and watch every step. (This is not often as I now cut my own hair)
  9. Bribery: I don't generally bribe. Food Storage: I would not eat peanuts ...from someones pocket...ha! Tooth brushing: I would make them brush their teeth again after Parent 1 gave them the peanuts I wouldn't do it because I wouldn't want bribery to go to bed, to become a nightly occurrence. I'd them prob bribe hubby not to bribe child
  10. I don't think it's crazy at all. I'd say a 'gap year' is very popular with most of my friends children. They normally go in small groups of at least 2 or more on mission trips or to other countries to try to live on their own, as an experience.
  11. T-Mobile has a Pay as you go $3 a month plan.

  15. In the chilly house, the sweet sound of Lena Horne fills the room.

  16. We've used Learning Spanish Like Crazy along with Duolingo. Thought about trying out Lifepac Spanish 1.
  17. If I can put my vacuum on it, near it or close to it... that's dusting. Lysol wipes, for most everything. Magic Eraser for harder places.
  18. So Delicious Coconut Milk Coffee Creamer and a squeeze of caramel, chocolate or marshmallow ice cream topping
  19. We've used, Prismacolor Premier, Scholar and Watercolor colored pencil sets, for adult coloring books. I think the ones you found would still be fine.
  20. Assuming you save shows to your list, when you look online in your account it shows when they expire under 'my list' - 'notes'.
