    NY is a terrible state to homeschool in. Everyone says it's no big deal. So far that has not been the case.

      The district has already tried to go beyond state law in our first go through. Requesting things outside of their jurisdiction and power. And the paperwork. OMG the paperwork. WHY does NY like paperwork so much?

    The introduction to Augsburg's Drawing suggests that children bring knives to school for object drawing. Yay vintage!

      We were required to bring exacto knives with us every day (no storage in class) for my four years of high school art. Can you imagine that today? And I graduated shortly before 9/11.

    Can I just say that my dh, family and I are absolutely LOVING Granite Flats on Netflix right now. We are only in season one but this is one absolutely clean, wonderful family show that holds all of our attention.

    My knees sound like Snap, Crackle, and Pop when I exercise. Not painful, but distracting.

      Arthritis? That makes mine crackle. Make sure you don't extend your knees past your toes. And Katy Bowman's knee strengthened have helped mine tons!
