  1. I would like to have my 12yod study some challenging words to increase her vocabulary. What are some good curriculum sources for this? Thanks.
  2. So, I am looking for a math book that can cover multiple age levels and will help my children to learn how math is actually applied in real life. I would like to use it with us all learning together. Does anyone know of a math book like that? I don't want a workbook, I just want...well, I guess a kind of math-in-real-life unit study guide for me, so that I can teach these concepts to them. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  3. We used them last year for US History and enjoyed them very much. I will continue to use them. I had no problem with them at all.
  4. Heather.....yes, sloping shelves I think are a must. And I really prefer to have 3 shelves on either side for the most possible room. We school in several different places depending on what we're doing and I, too, am tired of hauling books. Plus I can just roll that book truck into our library closet when we're not using them. Terri....I had a feeling someone would picture a delivery truck. I love books so much, I'd love to have a big ol' truck pull up and drop off tons of books! Well, this will bump this a little, but maybe I"m out of luck for an inexpensive, solid book truck. Guess I'll have to save my dollars. Julie
  5. I have wanted one for a long time. It is the perfect solution for some of my particular homeschooling needs. Here is one I am loving from US Markerboard. Do any of you have book trucks or carts? If so, where did you order or get them from? I'd like to find the best value that I can. I thought maybe I could check the local library, but since those things are pretty pricey and sturdy I thought they may not let those go. Thanks. Julie
  6. Hello, My name is Julie. HSing for 7 years....12yodd, 9yods, 7yods, 5yodd, baby due in Sept. I haven't been to the WTM boards in years! I like the new look. In an attempt to improve on our writing, I would like to really start listening to (and reading aloud) the classics more often to expose my children to great writing. My local library has some books on CD, but I was wondering if there is a good, not to $$$ source for audio books on CD. I can't do cassettes in my car...no cassette player! I was all excited when I found downloadable audio books on netlibrary.org but they don't allow you to burn them to CD, and my mp3 players are incompatible with the file type.:( Any ideas? suggestions? TIA Julie
