  1. This http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/dump-cake-i/detail.aspx is a good and easy dessert recipe. You can really use any kind of pie filling you like. I usually use peach because I don't care for cherry.
  2. Traditionalist here :D. I have a Tyler and a Jacob, and people ask me all the time how I spell Jacob . I guess some people spell it with a k....like Jakob. I just don't want my kids to go through life having to spell their names for everyone. Although uncommon spellings have become so common that people expect you to have a strange spelling sometimes. If my third is a girl she will be Emily Katherine or Emily Josephine if it's a boy he will by Dylan Austin.
  3. I would be likely to freak out too! I generally don't like stuff like that especially in the dark! I nearly freaked out in a mirror maze one time and we ended up coming out the entrance but I didn't care I just wanted out!
  4. I believe it was Lowe's foods who recently came out with a statement that said that they regretted allowing the show to film at their store. I don't know of a single store around here that would allow someone to come in and do 30 or more transactions to accommodate their coupons. The only store I know of that allows overage is walmart and coupons are such a hassle there I wouldn't even attempt it. I believe their savings are falsely elevated because they buy such large quantities of things that they can get for free like ramen noodles or sports drinks. I have yet to see an episode that they don't not buy sports drinks or vitamin water. Recently tic-tacs had a $1 off coupon and they are $1 each at the store so the lady bought 260 boxes and had coupons for each one making her have a 100% savings....but one cannot live on tic-tacs and vitamin water :glare:.
  5. My mom had terrible migraines to the point that they mimicked stroke symptoms. She ended up having botox injections in and around her scalp and they really helped! She gets them about every 3-4 months and it has been a miracle for her. P.S. Good luck with the fertility treatments...I've BTDT ;)
  6. No they wouldn't. He would have to have a stool culture that was specifically looking for parasites.
  7. Lots of things come to mind....did he eat cantaloupe in the US? There has been quite a few listeria cases associated with cantaloupe in the US. Has he been on antibiotics for anything? Antibiotics wipe out the good bacteria in the colon and can cause diarrhea and c-diff. If he has taken antibiotics for anything you can replace the good bacteria by taking a probiotic supplement or eating yogurt. Also, sometimes once you get diarrhea it is hard to get back on the right track. My son once had it for weeks and I started giving him benefiber (kind of like metamucil without the taste), it seems counter-intuitive but fiber works both ways. It helps to get things moving if they are slow and slow things down if they are too fast:D.
  8. Huggies slip-ons have had some great coupons out lately so I do have a few packs of them. They really are like pull-ups only they are more absorbent so I use them for overnight. However I wouldn't buy them over regular diapers because they cost more if you don't have a coupon.
  9. Oh....how to choose! Bad grammar posted for the world to see on facebook! Let us just advertise our stupidity why don't we! People going up/down the wrong way in a parking lot and then giving you a dirty look. People who let their children ride on the streets on dirt bikes, golf carts, four wheelers etc, completely unsupervised. I hate it when someone parks so close to me that I cannot get into my car....grrrrr.
  10. Congrats!!!! She is a cutie and I LOVE the hair!
  11. This happened to me too! Except it was a patient of mine that I was hanging IV fluids on. She totally freaked out! I mean I AM a nurse I should know better......right? :D
  12. I'm happy for her. I never thought she was guilty either. Word of advice.... NEVER EVER get yourself locked up in a foreign country!
  13. I have a lot of fertility issues too...or so I thought! I am currently expecting #3....a surprise! We thought we were done too, but I guess this little one really wants to be here :D. I am quite glad myself as I always wanted a third but DH was happy with two although he is happy we are expecting.
  14. Thanks for all the replies! I think we are going to give it a go and see how it goes!
  15. I used disposables with both my other ds's and I almost bought cloth a couple of times when my youngest was still a baby. What kind do you use? What do I need to buy? How much will I need to invest? Do they really potty train faster? How do I convince my DH to give it a try? What kind of laundry detergent is best? (DH is allergic to tide) We have a Kenmore HE3 front loader, how do you soak diapers in a front loader? If you stop the cycle the washer drains all the water out? :bigear: TIA!
  16. That has to be the stupidest bunch of nonsense I have ever read. Makes me glad I homeschool!
  17. I am 9wks along with my 3rd. I never thought I would have the first two so this little blessing is quite the surprise!
  18. We live on the outskirts of Anderson and it is a nice area. We are about 40 minutes from Greenville and roughly 2hrs from Atlanta. Also about 40 minutes south is Commerce GA with some great outlet shopping :D. There is not a lot around for kids to do IMHO but we don't live that far from Greenville to go to the zoo, children's museum, monkey joe's, and chuck e cheese's. We have a Target, Wal-mart, Bi-Lo, Publix, Kohl's, Hobby Lobby, and many other chair stores. There is no Whole Foods or Trader Joes....you have to drive to Greenville for that :glare:. The library is decent and they have an online site where you can reserve things and they will e-mail you when they are ready to pick up.
  19. I'm 32 and 7wks with my 3rd and I feel like I could sleep all day! There is nothing better than crawling between my sheets and catching a few zzzzzz's.:D
  20. I know I should be more internet literate but if someone feels so inclined to explain it to me quickly. TIA :D
  21. We have season passes and are going back in a couple of weeks! There are a lot of fair type rides, water rides, several roller coasters, a carousel, a train, and plenty of shows to see. We love it and so do our kiddo's! The food is expensive but fairly good. Crowds are light weekdays in Sept and Oct. The bbq and bluegrass festival is currently going on and then I think they have something like Octoberfest and craft fair in October. The waterpark is closed for the season after Labor Day I believe. Watch out for the weekend of Sept. 16th-18th, it is the annual rod-run and Pigeon Forge will be crowded. Stay FAR AWAY from The Grand Hotel.....It was rated trip advisor's worst hotel in America:blink:. I've not had experience with children with disabilities there but I would imagine they would be very helpful. However, they are very strict about height requirements and wouldn't let my 4yo on the bumper cars over less than 1/4".
  22. Thanks for all the well wishes! My 4yo asked me if we could still keep his little brother . I don't have a definite due date yet but I'm thinking around the end of April. I'm just happy I don't have to be pregnant during the hot summer!
